The beer was only bottled 10 days ago and I couldn't help myself but to try a bottle. It was not fully carbonated but the flavor is quite good: citrusy, with floral Cascade hop flavors. Nice balance of maltiness and hoppiness. It is not bitter at all, compared to most IPAs, but then I am sort of a "hophead" anyway.

Thanks for your comment. It is a lot of fun. The recipe for the beer can be found on video part 1. The real name is actually "Santa Monica Pale Ale". I just renamed it "Brown Hawk Ale" for myself because a hawk was perched outside my house when I was making it :-)
Very well done, entertaining, and informative videos! The ale looks delicious!

Do you know how much the alcohol content is?

Can't exactly remember. I would guess somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 or 6% alcohol.

Beautiful color of the ale. Makes my mouth water just looking at it.

I found my pale ale to be very bitter. I strayed from it and started on the lager track. Let me know how yours turns out. What brand did you use?
