  • God I love the harmony at 0:58 , wonderful melody and it has such a lighthearted , carefree vibe to it. Great ska song! This was the period when we were leaving disco , and entering new wave , but in the middle of the velvet underground.

  • this song always puts a smile on my face.

  • a lot of good memories

  • Never will be forgotten!

  • SHARP

  • thanks2 the nazi i ad 2 get rid of my tattoos f@@ked it all up

  • What a fantastic message...Rudy being the 'Rude Boys' of the time...Just feel this type of message...direct...is missing from todays music.

And what a brill band...no colour, no hang-ups...just people...making great music for the young people listening to them.

  • Viva Specials!!

  • did anyone read the article on Marco on the Bass about the guy who bought a Vox Super Continental, and found out that it was Jerry's original one that he used in this video! Inside, it had S. AKA and J.Dammers written and also had repair dates.

  • hahah fucking shit i was thinking that the black guys had good rhythm in dancing and then i focused on the white guy in the middle -__- HAHAHHAHAHAHA

    im just high >.>

  • It took a LOOONG time for Americans to catch on to this kind of music! We didn't had anything else to relate it to! At least Punk was enough like heavy metal that we could understand it. Most of us looked at this stuff like, "who are these guys with buzz cuts playing trombone, "salvation army music"? They may as well have been space aliens!

  • Keep the faith...

  • Takes me back to my misspent youth. No, actually a youth spent drinking and dancing to The Specials was well spent. Well spent indeed!

  • The trombone is this song is awesome! My name's Rudy!! :D

  • What does two-tone refer to?

  • @Jackoustic two tone records was a very important record label, which signed most of the big british ska and reggae bands like the selecter, madness and the specials. british ska from this time is often called "two tone ska".

  • @Jackoustic That they liked to wear black and white and it was blacks and whites making music together, I suppose. Anyway, great tune!

  • @Jackoustic black guys and white guys singing together as one. a two toned, i.e. two races band. too bad the whole world cant be that way

  • @Commonsense11111 This stuff is really hard to dance to though. Something just don't drop right. Original just beats it hands down. Thats my real problem with 2 tone and all that 70's so called ska. Its ok for jumping around to but if your used to the vibe of real black music you'll probably put your back out.

  • Ska is a rule!

  • this song makes me think of my 4 ty old daughter in cartoon form jumping about the room. dunno why, must just be that good of a happy good tune!

  • Great tune that's still popular 30 years later.

  • @illustrate100 Yep, this song is played in a local club (Cheeky Monkeys) every week without fail. :)

  • 1 Person is a Dumbass

  • The day I first heard ska, I loved it <3

  • me gustaria tocar esto

  • @ial35 me tambien

  • Misfits <3

  • Ya.... I think this song is fantastic... thanks for sharing

  • I'm not hard gay, just medium to moderate, but I think its hilarious how the skin head "so called" movement is founded on black musical geniuses such as Desmond Dekker and the Specials, yet i can agree anyone non-white or gay will burn in the depths of a much deserved eternal flaming pit of hell fire as well as all the modern politically correct skinhead nazis of these" lets all have a starbucks and not piss anyone off" neo-nice times we all suffer in.

  • @TheJnmcbride You just said you're gay, then said gays will burn in hell...

  • thumbs up if you're here because of Hard Gay

  • back when skinny's looked good now..eghh :\

  • RUDDYYYY, A MESSAGE TO YOU RUDYYYY, A MESSAGE TO YOU RUDYYY, FUCK YOU RUDY!!!!

  • It's nice to see that homeless trumpeteers done well for themselves in those days.

  • Such a good band. Great sound to the song as well.

  • the 1 dislike is invisible, just how it should be :)

  • the original skinheads were hard working peaceful people until the neo-nazis stole their image.

  • @MrPointyarrow That pisses me off so fucking much. Those good for nothing bastards.

  • @MrPointyarrow were still around its just theres alot of confusion

  • @MrPointyarrow the specials are so cooll

  • @MrPointyarrow

For all your thumbs up, you obviously never lived in England in the late 60's.

Skinheads kicked shit out of people, black or white!

  • @MrPointyarrow I wouldn't exactly say peaceful, we had a fair few rucks and scared the shit out of "normal people". We didn't judge people by their colour though and got annoyed when the racists made it an embarrasment to be called a skin. I used the term "Rude Boy" after that.

  • @MrPointyarrow Just like they stole the swasticka

  • Fucken CLASSIC!

  • two tone rules and will never die
