  • ...And how many bits is this video???

  • It's berely 64 bit!

  • Is that Flo from the progressive commercials?

  • Good old fashion false advertisement but back then who cared? If i was a 13 year old white kid back then i would be like "what's 64-bit mean?"

  • VSAUCE!

  • i want what she is on

  • 64 bit processing, or 64 bit colors? even modern computers only have 24 bit colors

  • 64 bit my ass!

  • God i cant believe i use to have one of these lol

  • Atari Jaguar: Makes female professors go mad!

  • VSAUCE!

  • @DeineFails yea, we know -_-

  • @DeineFails fuckin douche

  • crazy crazy CRAZY

  • WoW that was the "Alien" game.. i played that as a kid (:

  • I have one :)

  • @schulze3 yeah, this was my older sister first console

  • 64 Bit… Holy Cow!!!

  • WHICH IS MORE ADVAAAANCED?

  • doom!!!

  • 3DO, those guys were way beyond the other console makers. While Sega, Nintendo, Atari were still using cartridge, 3DO had discs. I feel like digging it up and playing it now. O.o

  • @potheadpickle Play some 3do zelda and tell me how many meme u find

  • is this the progressive lady?

  • real world animation lol

  • Whats call of duty over 9000 bit?

  • @IpwnzU6ixty9ine nope

we never moved on that far past 64bit

    more bits =\= graphic

xbox, game cube,ps2,ps3 are all in fact only 128bit systems

in fact you can do almost everything done on ps2, xbox on a 64 bit systum with technolgy we have now.

while even tho they both have lower graphics the wii and 360 are 256 bits

and by the time ps4 has been out 3+ years all stuff done on a ps3 will be possible in 64bits the most bits we will most likely see in our lifetime 512bits

  • @theendofit What are you even talking about? Instruction sets? Bus bandwidth? Register sizes? What are the bits supposed to mean?

Most platforms use a variety of word sizes for different things. Saying the PS3 is 128-bit is meaningless. Some of its registers are 64-bit, some are 128-bit. It has both a 128-bit and a 256-bit memory bus. Its instruction set is 64-bit.

I think calling it 64-bit would be most accurate, given how it's applied to PCs. Ditto for the 360.

  • thumbs up if you are viewing this from the playlist suggested by vsauce on his new 200th video

  • The good side:"Doom"

    The bad side:everything

  • Wonder who was the director for this commercial cause it reminds me of a sega commercial

  • Attention all parents:

I have a great way to punsh your misbehaving child. Lock them in their room with nothing but the Atari Jaguar. Tell them they can only play Club Drive and Cybermorph with the creepy anoying green face. Also, make sure that nutcase is in there to watch them and scream JAGUAR, JAGUAR, JAGUAR!. Trust me your kid will never misbehave again!

Ask Taco-Man he'll back me up on this!

  • this lady is more insane than that white guy who demostrates insuranceable problems in allstate commercials

  • We're playin some jag.

  • LADY: "Which is more advanced...Clifford?"

CLIFFORD: "Listen bitch. This aint no fucking 64 bit system. At best this is two 32-bit processors jerry rigged together in a shitty array. The graphics suck so bad that my toaster plays better games. Now shove that 64bit bullshit back up your ass!"

  • Only 16 bit

  • during those days I also thought the number of bits were the key factor on a console, but I was a 8 year old pc player kid xD

  • *raises hand*

    Lady: um yes sir.

Me: Yes, i work with Nintendo and I see many problems with your system

    Lady: *eye twitching* Oh?

Me: Yes, um I've played a few of your games and they do not seem to be really 64 bit. Our company is in development of an actual 64 bit console. It also seems the Jaguar suffers from many flaws such as faulty processors, thereby third-party companies will not be easily attracted to this system as-

    Lady: JAGUAR!!

  • @ECL28E lol someone needs to do a parody of this commercial just like that

  • Genesis does what Atarin't

  • in reality the jaguar was 64 bit. but it reality was not. it had 2 32 graphics card sending singles to a 32-bit accelerator . that's some 64-bit BULL SHIT!

  • Atari Jaguar 64 -Bit Interactive Multimedia System.

  • I'll bet this crazy lady was killed off by an angry mob of gamers who bought the Atari Jaguar.

  • so aparently a jaguar is as good as a Xbox 360 or Ps3? Both run on 64 bit hard drives.

  • This video has less than 16 bits

  • jauar jaguar JAGUUUUAAAAARRRRR aaarrrggg stop screaming you dumb bitch 64bit myass!!!

    hahaha lol.

if i was nintendo or sega i would,ve used lawsuits against atari.

  • maybe it wasn't 64 bit but....it was AWESOME........for its time

  • "Welcome to Introduction to Flame Wars 101.

We hope you brought a calculator 'cause we're all about numbers up in here.

Buy a Jaguar, or you're an idiot."

  • Notice they didn't wanna mention the Super Nintendo? Guess Atari knew they were already beat by Nintendo before the system's release!

  • Once again, Atari bashes the competition in a commercial. Once again, the Atari console is garbage vs the competition. After seeing these Atari commercials today, I am glad to see that company go.

  • I think I just had a seizure.

  • Nintendo 64

  • Can't remember if Atari was selling the Jaguar during the time on the Saturn's and Playstations launch but would have been hilarious

  • where did you learn to fly?

  • Can we all agree Taco-Man brought us here?

  • What the fuck is an Atari Jaguar?

  • @tapewormrage everything you need to know about jaguar go to the avgn

  • @tapewormrage It's a gaming system that has some of the worst graphics of the 90's.

  • @kiya12321 Are you saying the scary lady lied to me?

  • @tapewormrage Owning an Atari Jaguar myself, I can safely say "YES, IT SUCKS!!!"

  • @tapewormrage

You're too young to remember I guess. I remember being envious of anyone who had one of these consoles. Same goes for the 3DO and Neo-Geo.

  • @tapewormrage the first "64" bit console

I put the " " in because it doesnt look like 64 bit

  • @tapewormrage A cat animal in South America.

  • @tapewormrage what the fuck is an Atari Jaguar? I'll tell ya. It's a fucking PIECE OF SHIT!

  • @TheMasterswordMaster It was a big waste of money

  • WoW is 32-bit I GUESS IT WAS NOT AS ADVANCED

  • Comment removed

  • yes... believe it or not atari lied. The jaguar was not 64 bit but in fact equal to the 3DO which was a far better system. Real 64 bit graphics come from Nintendo 64; compare the jaguar's graphics with the Nintendo's. Huge difference.

  • Comment removed

  • @WinXPwhiz

Atari didn't lie. The Jaguar is technically a 64 bit machine, but overcomplicated in architecture. Games looked like crap because developers couldn't use the machine's power. Modern homebrewers have done better. Like the N64, it was hobbled by its use of ROM cartridges, but unlike Nintendo, Atari didn't have the cash to find ways to work around this limitation.

No argument from me that the 3DO was a better system and the N64 is a proper 64 bit machine instead of a technicality.

  • @WinXPwhiz The processors on the jag WERE 64-bit.... Except bits don't really mean shit, even though they were erroneously used as a buzzword (PC's are 32 bit to this very day, yet they've always had the upper hand on graphics)

  • @WinXPwhiz yup it was 2, 32bit cores, but they were only backups of each other, Jaguar Sucked, 3D) was pretty awesome though! Launch titles like need for speed & Roadrash were pretty awesome, and it was the first system to have a slew of "adult" games.

  • @WinXPwhiz And most N64 games ran it in 32-bit mode, since it worked faster. The bits are just one variable in the equation; they just happen to be a big number their marketing can shove in everyone's faces.

  • lmao yea it really added 64 bits total to make a pos system LOL XD omg even the orangutan commercial sex of the atari jaguar made it even worse omfg i will never ever go to a zoo ever again ty atari you fuckn disgusting pieces of shits for makin such a nightmarish system

  • my pc at the time still played games faster...

  • WHICH IS MORE ADVANCE!?!?!?!

  • 8 people who watched this work at sega!!!

  • i wish my teacher was like that....

  • jaguar. Jaguar! JAGUAR!!!!!!!!

  • Shite games = shite console. If the games are crud and/or unavailable, why give a toss about hardware specification? Bragging rights?

  • 3DO is even more advances and it is barely 64 plus, there was only one 64 bit console the N64

  • Playstation 3 HDMI, blu-ray disc, wifi-connection, bluetooth, wireless controller, ethernet, dvd and blu-ray player, dolby digital plus soundsystem and 320 GB

  • @xLJKx Plus the controller vibrates, that would be all the crazy bitch in this commercial would need to stop spreading Jaguar lies

  • The Sega Genesis is A LOT more advance than the Jaguar. And I'm a Nintendo fan

  • WHAT THE FUCK ! YOU CALL THAT MORE ADVANCED 3-D GRAPHICS?!

  • N64 PWNS ALL!

  • In Soviet Russia Jaguar is more powerful than PS2

  • All Clifford would have to do is say "Neo-Geo" and that teacher would had to shut up.;-D

  • Oh atari jaguar, your like a childs toy

  • 64 bits, 3d graphics, real world animation and lighting speed is what you get with jaguar? I rather have good old genesis that has 16 bit graphics and does what nintendon't. Not to mention, b-b-b-BLAST PROCESSING!

  • Jaguar, JAGUAR, JAGUAR!!!!!!!!!

    DO THE MATHS RIGHT NOW!

  • Actually she never asked a question she just went CLIFFORD!!!!

  • @LittleFourStar She clearly asked "which is more advanced, clifford?"

  • I swear I'd avoid this system just because of this STUPID commercial

  • The Jaguar slogan alone was a joke. Bits don't mean everything. I played the Jag years ago and I wasn't impressed at all (Dino Dudes and Tempest). I was all like "That's it?"

  • NES a 8 bit system was better than a 32 bit genesis

gaming isnt about graphics u do the math

  • "You ain't 64-bit, get the fuck out of here!"

  • atari maked gaming popular but also almost killed it

    good thing nintendo saved it

  • 64bit my ass

ps1 was only 32bit and had better ghraphics

  • @Mrchadwarden1 Alien VS Predator on the Jaguar was years ahead of its time,in the Playstation 1's 5 year life cycle it never produced anything as good as that graphicaly.

It still has the most realistic hands in a first person shooter! =D

  • @athleticguyUK I can name several PS1 games that had much better graphics than AVP on the Jaguar. Space Hulk was a similar concept pulled off in a much better way with similar graphics and better animation, for instance. The quality of the animation in AVP was piss-poor. Pixellated graphics are also a very sad thing to compare when you have smooth polygonal 3d graphics to compare to, such as what Metal Gear Solid had. Pixellated graphics look good in high res, but have crappy animation.

  • @Cainus44 Metal Gear Solid 1 was a great game but it had terrible graphics, just blocks everywhere.

Space hulk had good character models but everything else looked worse, like they used up most of the juice on making the character models. For me AVP just amazed me and i didnt see anything that topped its look or creepinees.

Suppose Resident Evil 2 came close in the creepiness factor.

  • @athleticguyUK Prettiness isn't the only aspect of good graphics. Quality of animation, motion, environment, there's more to it than that. Pixellation of graphics is th simplest, cheapest way of creating a pretty image, but any game can do it. The big difference between AVP and MGS as far as graphics go is that AVP looks like a pop-up book, and MGS looks like it could be real is you ignore how defined the polygons are.

  • @Cainus44 Lil bit of s silly comment there "AVP looks like a pop-up book, and MGS looks like it could be real is you ignore how defined the polygons are."

Ignore the pop up book aliens in AVP and it looks like it could be real like a blockbuster film! lol

See how silly that was? ignore bad polygons and it looks real...ignore the bad animation and it could look real too! lol =p

  • @athleticguyUK Actually what you did makes absolutely no sense and simply showed a failure to grasp what I was trying to say on your part. AVP looks 2d. It's flat. Unreal. It's a pop-up book. If you think that looks good or advanced, you're provably wrong.

MGS on the other hand had 3d graphics and an environment that didn't look like something you could imitate in MS Paint. Despite the polygons, it was infinitely more real looking than AVP.

  • @Cainus44 AVP was 3D apart from the aliens!

What you were basicaly saying was...you can ignore somthing and pretend its somthing else (ignore MGS polygons and pretend its real) lol

I PERSONALY think AVP looks better than MGS (my personal opinion im entitle too)...your saying IF i take stuff away (polygons) and imagine this and imagine that blah blah blah then it doesnt look better. lol Thats like telling me to look at a dog, ignore half of it an pretend its a cow! lol

  • I did the math....still sucks!

  • 3DO is more advanced! But SNES and Genesis kick both of these systems ass.

  • R.I.P. Atari

  • Thumbs up if you laughed when AVGN took a dump on the Jaguar CD.

  • 64 bits my ass

  • Fuck me! I gotta get a jaguar!

  • Boy, game advertising has changed over the years

  • She's fuking crazy

  • And then the N64 comes out...

  • i love the mid 1990s (:

    July 22, 2011 9:51 am

  • Press 7....

  • Plan to get a Jaguar soon, and as usual, after I get there will probably be another one for sale at half the price (that is the kind of luck I have). Already got a few games for it: "Atari Karts" (said to be a fun, graphically good but very flawed "Mario Kart" rip-off), "Tempest 2000" (no explanation needed) and "Club Drive" (which is said to be so terrible that it must be played by everybody!).

  • While the choice of CPU is often important, How many bits a system is not quite as important as one might assume. For example, the Colecovision and Master System both had a z80 (which is 8-bit), but as we all know, they are very different in power. That said, I do like this (intentionally) funny commercial. More silly and less obnoxious than rather similar ads by Sega and 3DO (the Game.com, while a innovative yet horrible handheld, had great ads spoofing commercials like this).

  • It's funny that Atari was trying to pick a fight with 3DO. Fighting over third place, Atari?

  • Oohh so much hate! Maybe a Jaguar killed your pet...

    Atari played with numbers.

The Jaguar had a 64-bit Graphic Object Processor inside is 32-bit GPU.

And the Jaguar was released MORE THEN A YEAR BEFORE the fucking PlayStation!!!

  • THE ONLY FUCKING 64 BIT CONSOLE IN THE UNIVERSE IS THE FUCKING NINTENDO 64 ! PLAYSTATION IS 32-BIT AND IT'S BETTER THAN THIS CRAP JAGUAR !

  • Yep I had this system and I also had Tempest 2000 (pretty much one of the best games ever made). It failed because the major game developers would not get on board and make games for it. and yes it was 64bit in it's graphics accelerators even thought the cpu was 32bit. It had awesome promise but only a handful of good games.

  • i like when people defend shitty consoles like the atari jaguar

  • Only real people know: The C64 is 8 bits - of pure FUN!!!!!!!

And 99.98675473858468567656569345694756048760948769783468456854698756978567567546456987496745769247569756978254692746592465724597429854.......% of people are real people. That includes the people in Africa.

  • 64 bits? The PSX has better graphics than Jaguar and is a 32 bits console, N64 is the only real 64 bits

  • JAGUARRRRRRR JAGUARRRRRRRRR JAGUARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! do the maths

  • 0:26 to 0:28 xdd

  • 0:26 to 0:20 xdd

  • LOL WTF??? :20 and :26 are like someone shoved a cactus or cattle prod up her ass XDDDD genesis > jaguar

  • @Treyowns1 lol I'd imagine those are the kinds of things she'd enjoy if she likes the Atari Jaguar XD

  • Comment removed

  • @dunnono00 I think you might be right cause I did some research on it and it was a commercial failure.

  • Dr. Kefka ROX proscribes 9001 chill pills.

  • then that mean that atari jaguar was the first one with 64 bits instead nintendo with nintendo 64?

  • @TheKen284

some people believe that the atari jaguar wasn't really 64 bits.

  • @sadmadgla3 yeah i think too they were just lying because with 3D Grapics? what they were talkin about Nintendo made 3D Grapics with mario 64

  • @TheKen284

How did Nintendo "make" 3-D graphics? What constitutes 3D graphics anyway? Polygons? There were plenty of games that used polygons before Mario 64, including the Jaguar.

  • easy girl, dont be madd

  • Well Mrs.Bitch explain why the 32-bit 3DO games look better than anything on the Jaguar. Club Drive vs Need for Speed. 3DO! 3DO! 3DO!

  • lol the whole 'bit' thing was so so so bad.

  • I have done alot of research on the Jaguar and found out that the Jaguar WAS 64 bits and was capable of having games that showed so. So why did it fail? Fear. Fear from the gaming companies making 64 bit games as the system was a pain in the ass to create games on. It wasnt developer friendly at all. They knew their return on investments would of been low as Atari really didnt advertise their system after the first year as a year later the playstation came out and they shit bricks. The ps was d

  • and because of the processer configuration it made it hard to make games for, most ended up looking sega genesisy

  • If thats 64 bit, then wow, Nintendo knows how to use bits WAY more than Atari... XD

  • @Plantazm005 Of course, Nintendo had Japanese bits, so 16 could do the job of 64. They worked hard and never complained. Atari's bits were all unionized, that's what brought them down.

  • I wonder why they put the Genesis instead of the SNES .

  • The 3 DO can do better than a jaguar!

  • dear god I don't want to be in that class! they MAKE u do the math!

  • 0:26 she turn into adon

  • This is always going to be debatable. The two main 32 bit processors combine to send 64 data paths to the graphics accellerator. There really is no designated cpu. So do two 32 bit processors equal 64 bit because they send signals simultaneously to a part not considered a processor, but 64 bit nonetheless? Personally I think the "Tom" chip does a hell of a lot more than the"Jerry" chip making it the processor to be judged, making Jaguar 32 bit, but that's just my opinion.

  • It may be 64 bit love, but judging by those games the developers were about 40 bit too short!

  • 64 console for 16 bit games, that sucks

  • Well, at least this Jaguar commercial didn't have a simian sex scene in it . . .

    **cringe**

  • Some say that is 16 bit, others say that is 32 bit, I say:

    (16 + 32) / 2 = 24

Better than Genesis, worst than Playstation, Do the Math

  • u ain't 64 bit get the f out off here

  • Um the PS3 is.

  • C'est de la merde total

Les graphique sont pathétiques, la caméra est dégueulasse la vitesse 64 bit c'est vraiment bidon !

  • ok i'll do the maths the console was a piece of shit

  • Actually,it IS 64 bits. The Jag has a series of different graphic/game processors that, together, adds up to 64. Due to all the different processors, it made it difficult for companies to make games on it. That’s why the graphic capabilities dont seem as high as they should! It was easier to do 16-32 bit games. Watch AVGN’s vid on it.

  • @88Nightfire88

Odly enough the 16 bit games are better then the 32 bit games

  • @snakes3425

    i HAPPILY agree with you

  • Sweet! I'm sold. Where can I get one?

  • i'd do the teacher

  • @bpotts0401 Iwould hit her too!!

  • the jauar is NOT that many bits! 16 bit games looked better :P

  • Back then who could foresee that after 5th generation consoles (n64, saturn, PS1, etc) CPU word size would not matter ie 32bit, 64bit. Instead future consoles would stay at 32/64 bit. Wii, XBOX360, and PS3 all run off processors that are of the 32/64 bit architecture. Now, performance is about clock rate, memory, bandwith, etc. Perhaps back then they thought we wouldh have like 512 bit or 1024 bit machines by now. Oh well. And besides graphics arent everything by a long shot :)

  • thumbs up if you came here because of taco man (:

  • I think "huh?" is the proper response.

  • 64 bit SHIT! lol i just came up with that

  • Clifford doesn't want to answer because deep down he knows that despite its "64 bits" jaguar is impossible to develop for because of its system ram bug and anemic 6 mb cartridges. Clifford realizes that Atari has four of five people developing their games while most systems at the time have 20 to 30. Clifford sees that the "lightning speed" of the jaguar usually results in 3d games with no texture mapping, minimal sound, and frame rates well under 30 fps. Clifford gets an A+ in my book

  • NES is 8-bit! Genesis and SNES are 16-bit! Sega 32x and 3DO are 32-bit! Jaguar and Nintendo 64 are 64-bit! PS2, GCN, and X-box are 128-bit! Wii, PS3, and X-Box 360 are 256 BIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Don't let her intimidate you, Clifford. That system sucks ass and the games for it suck even more. You will pray for a bullet in the head if you buy one.

  • The jaguar had some decent games but never really took off. Bad decisions in marketing and high price tags force companies out for example. Jaguar and 3do just to name a couple. 300 for jag and 700 for 3do back then that was crazy money for video games which at the time were not such a staple in a household.

  • Woman: JAGUAR! JAGUAR! JAGUUUAAARR!!

    Taco Man: Sucks!

    -squeaking noises from chalkboard-

    Taco Man: Ow.

  • 0.20 WHICH IS MORE ADVANCED!!!

    Holy shit, she has problems

  • even though the graphics didnt look like 64, atleast it had some okay games

zool 2, tempest 2000, alien vs predator

graphics dont make a good game
