How old are you? I'm a programmer, but I'm not by any means a designer. I can make good looking, playable levels but not anything on par with the eery, almost seemingly omniscient, environmental beauty you have created here. You should make some tutorials.
Stunning piece of work. It feels like I'm really there, checking out my oil field at the end of the day. Only thing that kind of takes me out of it is there's a slight hiccup in the generator hum where the sound clip ends and begins.
How long did it take you to create this, from start to finish?
You are achieving with your art and music, exactly that I am looking to do - I am not interested in creating games - just simply art that springs to life as you have done - congratulations on some excellent work... Unfortunately this is only the 2nd day of me discovering UDK and what it can achieve, so I have nothing to show in return.
This is some strong work my friend. Would you mind telling me how you achieved the dust in the air effect? I did something similar in a project of mine and I used a particle emitter. Did you use the same approach?
Why does this look better than other games using the Unreal Engine? Is it because your just showing off the level of detail you can dish out in a certain area or are you just that awesome lol? Another Question is this using the newest version of Unreal? The one that Gears of War 3, Bioshock Infinite, and BulletStorm are using?
@leviatan1001 how long time does it takes to learn this program? Ive been trying but I just ragequit cuz I dont got the tools which the tutorials are describing
REALY NICE MAP. woukd u like to make me some maps for mi game cos these are realy gd if i tell you what sort of type of map i would like its for an online game im making?
The images on UDK didn't do justice like the video. I love everything about this. It seems so scary. Like I said that Silent Hill feel to it. I really like the clouds. Such a great job and would be fun to roam around. It's not one of those levels where you run around and say, well that looks okay, well that looks pretty okay, oh and that sucks. Pretty much everything looks great in your level. It has continuity and I understand your lighting.
Is this map avail for download for UDK? Would be really interested in the Dust wave particle effect method used!! great work!

This is great. I've always been a huge advocate of sound and movement (wind, etc) to give life to otherwise lifeless scenes.
