I don't believe ferrets smell as much as an average dog.

I had a really hairy wolf sized dog and it had some scent, thoguh my apartment never smelled and I never ever had problems like smelly clothes (I mean, you don't cuddle your animals when you are in your cleanest shirt, right? )

My cousin had a short haired mastiff and it smelled from afar. Thank god they kept it in a separate room.

So ferrets are probably much better than dogs. (only cats usually have no scent at all)

tokiohotelfan1117 -If you do not keep their bedding and cages clean IT has a certain "stink" odor to it. Ferrets themselves do have an odor, but if you have them descented and fixed it minimizes the odor A LOT. I would have to say they're worth it anyways. :)

haha i put snow in a tub for them xD also took them for a walk in the garden when it had been snowing :P yes, ferrets do have an epically bad odour. never hold them against clothes you're about to go somewhere in :P
