He had so much personality as Bruce, you definitely felt him as a guy uncomfortable in his own skin, more comfortable jumping rooftops than hanging w/ rich elite. And his actual Batman was great, you could understand what he said. Burton's Batman was the perfect balance between fantasy & reality. It stays true to its source material (mostly) while still managing to be a terrific film.

Keaton was great.It's a pity that he's not so tall;if you notice in all the scenes where he's next to Kim Basinger,she always takes off her shoes.Not a problem,but you can see how that is forced.
The biggest mistake in this franchise was not continuing the third and fourth movie with Keaton as Batman . Just having Keaton in Forever would have made it better and had Keaton been in Batman and Robin and that movie had a better story, Keaton against Arnold could have been a blockbuster.
Thanks Hollywood, Warner Brother, and Joel Schumacher for screwing up what could have been an epic 4th movie

Clooney was shit also and in a worse film. West was perfect for his time. The Adam West show was extremely accurate to the comic books of the time period with all of the silly stuff they were writing those days. In many ways,Adam West was the most comic book accurate Batman. Of all the films I think Keaton was the best too.

He needs to wear the all black suit with a splash of yellow on the bat symbol. That yellow is pure Chambers, and Gotham is Carcosa, bathed in eerie moonlight. You just know that Bat and that city have seen things, insane things, from muggers creeping around back alleys to deformed monsters prowling about the luxurious penthouse rooms where the vulnerable rich lay sleeping. Some of those creatures go for the naked lovers and leave the pocketbooks alone, and that's when the Dark Knight swoops in.
