I just saw a doc. called "flipped out" gives a greater perspective on this phenomenon...delves into those who flee israel after military service...the mental illness...drug abuse...identity crises...kind of a lost generation, however annoying to the locals;)
they can smoke lil hash and dance and go back .. no problem.. as long as they pay for the tea they drink...
himachel is a nice place and has good forests. Too many tourists mean, too much of trash accumulatiiong everyday. i think govt of india should do something abt it.
i imagined that international travel was an opportunity to experience new cultural experiences in an outward looking fashion.unfortunately for the young people of israel, they seem largely unwilling to,or incapable of grasping this ethos.the israeli people i encountered whilst in india seem to travel with the siege mentality baggage, rather in the same way as we in england have our somewhat unappealing lager louts, who when abroad, steadfastly refuse to eat any 'foreign muck',preferring egg&chips.
The difference is england, like australia, has access to amazing foreign foods but israel dont. they think everyone hates them and many are not comfortable with their english skills. Israelis may be loud and seem rude but they are extremely genuine people and i think they grasp the indian way very well
well what do you expect from murderers and thieves
colonials who serve in an army fighting civilian indiginous population.... european settlers...
