OJO!! No mas al comunismo!!!!!!
I am a staunch free market libertarian. I oppose any governmental involvement that hampers the free market. That said, government ownership and monopoly of natural resources does NOT significantly hamper the efficiency of a free market and if managed well, can add significant revenue for the government without resort to taxation.
As for wealth distribution, again, it is best to do that in a way that does not mess with the essential mechanisms of a free market. My recommendation is a ten percent sales tax on all goods and services with the revenue gained from that equally distributed to ALL citizens, regardless of economic status, as a minimum guaranteed income deposited monthly into a bank account.
The "free market" does not exist. Market concentration inevitably leads to monopolies with a mighty oligarchy. Big corporations buy and use the government with their money. And if there's no government, no one will stop market concentration. Rebellious movements (that even sometimes make it to the government level) are bribed or killed. Check out John Perkins for proof.
