  • And I'm also Natalya's father.

  • This was back when they could only afford one mic for all the people in the ring. lol.

  • @MyLuchaLibreLife Im pretty sure WWE was making MILLIONS during this era...

  • @TheDmy2k I know, but still it's funny that they could only have one mic at a time.

  • @TheDmy2k not as much as the cena era. Kid brand sponsorships are heavy hitters.

  • "Shut your mouth you thong wearing fattie"

And then Rikishi was fukkie buried and was never taken seriously as a heel. Not as bad as Triple H burying Booker T, but clearly the big jolly ol samoan dancer wasn't cut to play a hitman.

  • WWF went from the belt being held by Hogan, Taker, Diesel, Bret, Shawn, Sid, Austin, rock to rvd, dolf ziggler, cm punk? That belt now goes to guys who dont have 10% of the star power those guys from the nineties had in wwf

  • @1000sidney yeah but they can wrestle at least

  • @mrmctommy Hey midgets can wrestle too, but majority of fans wont care about wrestling skills if they cant take the wrestler seriously or arent into the character

  • @1000sidney that's true, but don't you find it kinda weird that the company's trying to kill the wrestling aspect of wwe and make it all about entertainment, but at the same time, they're pushing all these great technicians? of course they have no charisma, but still.

  • @mrmctommy I think theyre killing the entertainment aspect , and making it all about the wrestling which is why they have all these charismaless technical wrestlers main eventing now.

  • @1000sidney WWE in a sense set themselves up for this since they didn't have a system to replace those guys. Cena comes closest to hulk but now all the old stars are gone, its so hard to further solidify punk, daniel bryan, dolph ziggler and cody rhodes without a strap on them because there isn't anyone legit they can go after.

  • i love it when jr says son of a bitch

  • I DID IT. I DID IT FOR DA ROCK.

  • @stratikeo shut your mouth you thong wearing fatty!

  • @AliceNchainz011 Yes one of those non chaismatic guys from the ninties who only came close to the main event when all the real main eventers retired

  • epic days

  • I don't know why Rikishi was so concerned about The Rock being held back; Rocky was already a 3 time WWF champion prior to the Survivor Series incident.

  • @AO17 before the 2000's as well, he has already been in high profile matches against main event stars as well. And that was when he was coming up the ranks in the midcard from his days in the Nation.

  • after vince bought wcw everything went downhill (n)

  • @ALFAALFA45 Nah, the WWF Monday Night Wars involving the Alliance and the WWF was pretty interesting.

  • blah blah blah

  • you tell 'em rikishi..you tell it like it is

  • and it still holds true today. fuck vkm.shad and jtg should run hhh over for rtruth, kofi, mvp, sheff , zeke, benjamin, dlo brown, ron simmons etc and everyone else

  • WTF?!?!? Rikishi is a man? OMG

  • awww thats sad

  • The promo that killed Rikishi's career

  • @TheSebang He did the promo for the Rock.

  • pause at 8:30 it's like a movie scene

  • @Hasoondawood how?

  • pause at 8:32 it's like a movie scene

  • I did it for Dolph Ziggler

  • xlegionx: They didn't have tributes for Crash, Boss Man, Test, Lance Cade, & all the rest who died AWAY from WWE TV. They ONLY do tributes for wrestlers IN the WWE when they die (Owen, Eddie, Benoit, etc.) generally-speaking.

  • shut up you thong wearing fatty!!

  • Its so ironic that he couldn't mention yokozuna who was directly related to him.

  • Rikishi is responsible for making The Rock popular. Because he got rid of Steve Austin which made Rock the face of the Attitude Era.

That's why they like Rock over Cena's bitch ass.

  • @RapRnB4u so you are saying the rock became a face with help while john cena did it by himself?

  • @jhammaster Nope, thats not what I'm saying... anymore questions feel free to ask.

I said face of attitude era not speaking in terms of face/heel/jobber/midcarder etc.

  • @RapRnB4u exactly that is what i mean dude are you saying the rock became the face of the ae with help? because he was a mid-carder during the begining. and became on top at the end. cena was just a simple mid-carder till wm 21.

  • @jhammaster Nope, I am not saying that.

  • @RapRnB4u but you said and i quote, "rikishi is responsible for making the rock popular"

  • @jhammaster I'm just speaking in terms of a casual fan's outlook. BUT... In reality, The script writer's made Rock the face of the AE. That includes the script writers having Rikishi run over Austin. Same as for the script writers making Cena the face of the PG Era.

And still... They like Rock over Cena's "Bitch Ass"

  • @RapRnB4u and let me say this yes the scriptwriters did this but theres a problem it's not the casual fan it's the ae fans and pg is a rating not an era. cena told vince when he signed he was going to main event wm in 5 years he convinced jericho, vince, and the script writers (without ass-kissing) that he had some idea of his own just like rock when he convinced the writers to make a heel turn and get success for that as for austin that was supposed to be B.A billy gunn's idea.

  • @jhammaster You restated my point, cool.

  • @RapRnB4u i never said who was better i am just saying don't discredit cena's character remember like rikishi he is chasing the belt for the rock.

  • @RapRnB4u: Vince & the writers merely cultivate talent. In Cena's case, much of the ideas for his gimmicks are his own, so Cena is partially to blame for what's occurred recently. As for saying that writers made The Rock the face of the Attitude Era, that's a load of monkey crap, because it was fans who BOOED him as Rocky Maivia (just like John Cena currently), which caused him to change his ENTIRE character, thereby becoming The Rock. So really, THE PEOPLE really DID make The Rock.

  • @TherealRNO plus Cena is the engine that runs WWE's moneymaking empire. Why would Vince shoot down his golden goose? Creative people like Russo who had great suggestions helped flesh out Rock's catch phrase making machine. And from there, Rock made the character more of his own where he could walk down the aisle, into the ring and have the crowd in his palms and play them easily like putty with his mere presence, mic-talent and natural charisma.

  • LOL at 2:46 - I've got an image of Rikishi adjusting his mirrors right before he runs over Stone Cole hahaha

  • I DID IT FOR THE ROCK!

  • Listen to the pop Hulk Hogan's name got and he was out of the company for 7 years at the time.

  • I did it for the lulz :D

  • JR going crazy there's virtually nothing funnier (not that he has acted like that recently)

  • @AttitudeWrestling1 Lmao werdd

  • awful booking, and you cant even blame russo for this one lol

  • Worst waste of a possible push to the moon for someone

  • Young boy: it was me who ran over Stone Cold and the Rock, i did it for the Cenation

  • @Stoneman180190 nice but stone cold retired from the rock. and being that the rock said he he opend the door for him and other stars he did it for cenation.

  • "I DID IT FOR DA ROCK ".

  • @ecwvstna78 Do you have the video for that? I've been trying to find it...

  • @WhySoWorried he looked japanese but he is of samoan origin if u read his bio on wikipedia.

  • JR went gangsta at the end ROFL!!!!

  • rikishi just named all the islanders in wrestling.......theres not that many :(

  • Rock doing some great acting here.

  • there cusins

  • THE BOULDER IS CONFLICTED ON HOW TO DEAL WITH THE STONE COLD SITUATION

  • Greatest plot twist from the Attitude Era, no one saw it coming.

  • JR went apeshit at the end. Damn!

  • @hothotheat3000 JR's the best

  • 4:09 to get the to good part.

  • Sonny Siaki and Samoa Joe are also Samoan wrestlers who have success in the pro wrestling industry, but neither of them are even related to The Rock or Rikishi. Cocky Siaki's career was cut short due to saving his brother's life by donating one of his kidneys, while Samoa Joe is still in the wrestling business kicking tails.

  • @21richkid theres also Jimmy and Jey Uso now in wwe, rikishi's sons

  • @illdoitin5mins who sadly didnt get the championships on the latest smackdown, but they would make epic tag team champions. wwe's tag division hasnt been too good recently, but the usos have made me think otherwise

  • Rikishi - "And you ask why I did it?"

The Rock - "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHY YOU DID IT!"

  • Foley basically called Rikishi a fat bastard in respectable words.

  • JR goes apeshit at the end.

  • So,Mick Foley is a fucking detective now?

  • Rikishi - I did it for The Rock

The Rock - SHUT UP YOU THONG WEARING FATTY

  • @MrAaaaaaaaa1350 lol omgoodnes

  • Why do I have to watch old wrestling clips to be entertained?

  • Foley: Worst week of my professional career.

Then he went to TNA, so I guess it isn't any more.

  • @PeteGas1984 LOL burn! zing!

  • @Armstrawng hahaha!! I still preferred this kind of stuff to scripted competition, but your comment made me really laugh out loud.

  • so is this a shoot?

  • @727Superstar No, it's just a well-done storyline (if it has you asking whether or not it's a shoot or a work, then you know it's good). I can see why you might think it is, though. The things Rikishi said about ethnic discrimination were probably how he really felt and it makes his motive understandable. But you got to know that he wouldn't really hit someone with a car lol.

Now, if only WWE's storylines (CM Punk's current angle not included) were this believable today..

  • @lanebriand speaking of cm punk man i can't wait to see mitb

  • @lanebriand actuallt since you mentioned it it is included and you got beth phonix on the divs division so it is believable today.

  • @jhammaster OK. I went back and saw my original comment. I don't think we disagree or did disagree about discrimination or WWE's current storylines or anything so umm... yeah, Ok. Thumbs up.

  • Rikishi is the baddest man to wear a thong.

  • when does he say he dit it 4 the rock?

  • @chungpaww dayum dude pay attention! holy shit 4:20

  • @chungpaww 4:10 my bad

  • Rikishi: Okay...

King: WHAT?! He can drive AND speak English...what?!

  • mick calling rikishi large man when he himself is one too HAHA soooo epic foley

  • I guess it just slipped Rikishi's mind that The Rock held the title THREE separate times prior to SSeries 1999.

  • IT WAS MII WHO RAN OVA SONIC THAT NITE . I DID IT 4 EGGMAN

  • 'configurated'. Roll on Mick's next book...

  • they should run over john cena....

  • whatever the rock says is funny

  • The Rock "I DID IT FOR THE ROCK...I DID IT FOR THE PEOPLE...I DID IT..OH SHUT YOUR MOUTH YOU THONG WEARING FATTY!!"

  • I remember seeing this many years ago when I was a kid

  • i remember this like iit was yesterday lol

  • The cheering is so much louder for Hogan and Austin than it is for Rogers, Sammartino and Backlund, I guess the old timers werent that popular amongst the everyday fans.

  • @luvmestrat its not that they werent as popular, they were more steak than sauce...they were ACTUAL shoot wrestlers instead of 'gimmicks'...the majority of the people in the audience today wouldnt know who Rogers,Sammartino or Backlund were

  • There are no storylines and promos that can compare to the attitude era storylines. There was so much drama and suspense. It was so entertaining just like a movie.

  • @dwgreatest Neither. o3o Where did you hear that from?

  • was i the only one who heard jr say damn it at 3:31

  • OHHH, so Rikishi is the reason why the PSN has been down. He did it for the rock . of course!

  • I remember I was so excited to find out...then Rikishi came out and said he did it.

  • I remember I was so excited to find out...then Rikishi came out.

  • One of the not so good storylines of the attitude era

  • hell naw th rock fooling wtf y would yu do it for the rock i know he ur friend but wtf

  • @latreace100 its fake guy, calm down

  • @efrenbaltimore09 lol ikr yu clam down lmao im the bigges fan sooo i was just saying boo :)

  • hell naw th rock fooling

  • i did it for the rock

ohh shut your mouth you weird fatie

  • DAMN, DOES ANAHEIM GET THE BEST WWE MOMENTS?!!

  • love how foley ups and blames the samoans for running over a white guy.....

don't suppose he could have pointed the blame at Mark Henry instead....friggin' racist!

  • when wrestling was wrestling....

  • Rikishi did stinkface to Cena for The Rock!

  • Rikishi ruined his push by having absolutely no charisma. Just look right here. "I did it for The Rock" (*no emotion whatsoever).

  • @AttitudeEra4life459 thats the point idiot...he played the cold hearted role! than after this he back complete heel! so it fits the segment

  • @diplo33

Your missing the point completely. Way to mature BTW by calling me a "idiot". Your cool, right?

  • oh if I had a penny for every time the commentary said "Oh my god" or "the carnage!.

  • God I wish I could go back to these days of wrestling. I remember watching WWF Thursday Night Smackdown with my dad. Wrestling will never match the WWF Attitude era

  • rikishi re-tweeted me today.. i was so happy!

  • Good ol' attitude era.. people tryin' to kill each other.. such compassion :'(

  • Hey, check my vids ! I upload Raw is War and Smackdown episodes of WWF 2000!!!

If you like it, subscribe :)

  • Funny funny funny this is when Wrestling was good but settling down

  • Yokozuna was also Samoan but he was a 3 time WWF Champion. This promo was shot in the same month that Yokozuna passed away.

  • @TheRatedIX7 Yoko was only a 2 time champ...and 2 time tag champ

  • @TheRatedIX7 RIP Owen Hart and Yokozuna

  • @TheRatedIX7 Yokozuna was a 2 time WWF champion and they couldn't mention him because his character was japanese

  • @TheRatedIX7 It sounds like some kind of ritual.. I may be reading this a little too much but it sounds like a very wierd coincidence.

  • @TheRatedIX7 RIP the greatest big man in WWF history.

  • @TheRatedIX7 2 Time WWF Champion, not 3, but yes Im sure he intentionally skipped over Yokozuna.

  • @TheRatedIX7 yokozuna was japanese dumbass

  • @TheRatedIX7: He died later that month...

  • @PhilipTheBigOne seriously??

  • @Hasoondawood: Yeah, I think October 22nd... Let me check... (checks on wiki, 30 seconds later) OK, I've got it... He died October 23rd, 2000. This was shot (I think) October 8th or 9th (2 weeks earlier)...

  • john cena did it for the rock

  • Funny. Anaheim. He returned this year in Anaheim.

  • This sucked HARD. How did they think they could turn one of the most popular rising upper midcarders around that time to a "monster" heel??? That's why when he gradually turned back face, he was never the same

  • Triple H put him up to it, though.....

  • @FootballCrazy408 Then what relation do teh Uso's have with the Rock?

  • @GurahkWeavile cousins

  • @GurahkWeavile The Rock is the uncle to the Usos.

  • @raoulandtheking OH YOU DIDN'T KOW YOUR ASS BETTER CALL SOMEBODYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  • i guess rikishi forgot that bruno sammartino is italian not white.

  • Comment removed

  • "It was ME who ran over John Cena that night! I did it for the adults!"

  • @Mcheetah That would be........like Mark Henry or somethin

  • @Mcheetah I'm 21 and a huge John Cena fan booo to u!

  • @jimmy212145 LOL A 21 YEAR OLD IS TALKING LIKE A 7 YEAR OLD!!

  • @Mcheetah That could work.

  • @Mcheetah oh shut up your accusing Cena for bei a bad person but he isnt.

  • @Mcheetah I am begging you. Do it.

  • @Mcheetah I applaude you. Pls go back and finish the job :)

  • @Mcheetah You should be in line for sainthood.

  • rikishi and the rock are from my area, i know their cousin!

  • and the oscar goes to...
