@95ckemper Actually the 03 and up trucks have a lot more options on headlight mods than the 01-02 trucks. Just type "All-On" mod on google and you'll find plenty of info.

I have the hid's and I'm gonna do this but I have a problem with my hid kit, the passenger side never starts up when starting the truck so I gotta flip to the hi beams then back to low to turn it on, it's wired to the battery direct harness and I'm still having his problem. How is your hid kit wired?

I took of the diode cause my drl's wouldn't turn and my drl's still wont turn on

Any suggestions why they won't turn on?

@RUBEN4RMPDM14 Bad Connection? Bad Relay? I would try taking a volt meter and see if any power is getting to the DRLs

@RUBEN4RMPDM14 Shouldnt be any reason that they still dont retain the normal function. Check the diode and be sure that its not contacting anything other than the 87 pins.

how do I get the high beam and lowbeam to come on at the same time?

@bigboi1245 if you splice a ground wire into the yellow wire coming out of your low beam bulbs you will get them both to come on when you hit the hi beam. i just did it the other day. it works great

@bigboi1245 thats right. one to each yellow wire to ground. i used the first bolt on the top of the fender as my grounding point

So you just take out the drl fuse and the headlamp fuse and put the diode in the 87 fuse?

any way to bypass the daytime runner to make it go to the high beam? Ive been trying to find a mod like that for a while now. and since the drl is essentially the high beam at 60% power, whose to say you cant put 40% tints on the lenses? just a thought

I did this to my truck today. Have you had any problems with it shorting out or overheating overtime? The diode I found said its max temp was 25*C (77*F)... And my DRLs dont come on during the day. Not sure whats different between our trucks. Maybe somethings up with mine. I have an 01 2500HD 6.0L. Should be the same electrical relative to the headlights.

I have a 04 2500HD 8.1 and I looked at my relays and have a low beam relay with a 87 pin and the drl relay with a 87 pin, will this mod work with mine the same way?

just did this, i like the look way better. i also disabled my driving lights but retained the blinkers. i have led DRL's

I cant find them anywhere. I looked at 4 different stores around here.
