Bushidou Retsuden could take 30-40 seconds to load each fight. In spite of that, it's still the best version of the game. Actually, the Nebula emulator can run the NGCD version pretty much flawlessly, and with drastically-reduced load times.
Everything is wrong. Worse yet, one of the hinges on the back of the CD lid is broken and I can take it on and off. It's pretty much ghetto. A friend gave it to me a few years ago and it was working fine at the time.
Sounds like that poor thing has been through some serious abuse over the years. If it'll make you feel any better, I had a ps1 that lasted me 6 years. Then one day, I took a game out of it to put back in the case. The entire black spindle came completely off and shattered. My ps1 was basically junk after that.
I have four questions. Whats wrong with your NGCD and how long have you had it? Is the little disc-spining motor about to go out in it, or is the laser going out? Just wondering.
Was this ever released in the states?

Once again, the 16-bit NEO-GEO CD version is the best. Better than the 32-bit Saturn or PS1 versions.

I'd like to see a remake of this game. Squenix could use some competition^_^.

Yeah if the screen says Error 0002 after loading, you're screwed.

It often makes wonder Toneman if they should've just stuck with cartidages. By the way, where the loading times on the NGCD really THAT bad?

Thank God! I would imagine playing it via Nebula would make it a superior experience than on a NGCD. I can't stand those loading times.
It's also a shame that SNK did not give the CDZ a 2x or 4x speed CD-ROM drive, what a difference even a 2x drive would've made.
