Actually grav nades are one of the most powerfull and effective weapons you can use.
You must learn to time them correctly, though. Otherwise, not using grav nades makes your nades easy to catch and pretty much useless. And it's not a cheap kill.
Most of those are avoidable, and are only 1 hit kill if you don't have (enough) armor. But that's not what defines a cheap weapon.
RPG is cheap cuz of it's power compared to the dodging chances and cuz of valve's "brilliance" of giving it away in stock maps like overwatch and powerhouse. All other weapons are avoidable or defendable, depending on how fast reactions you have.
Also, the magnum is only 1 hit kill in the head (if you aren't 100/200) and the xbow is only if you got no armor at all.
In a crowded server (atleast 6 people). You spawn, you go off to get some armor or good weapons, maybe get a few kills along the way, then get killed by 1 of the above weapons instantly before you even find a weapon better than grav-nades.
I just think the game would be more enjoyable if you have a chance to defend yourself, if you are in a good position, it isn't nice to have it stolen by a 1hk. And if you are losing, you don't want to spawn into a gun pointed straight at your head.
It is also very good if you have no skill and are too scared to use real guns like the magnum and want a quick cheap insta kill.

Most of the weapons in this game are cheap.
RPG - 1 Hit kill.
Magnum - 1 Hit kill.
Grenades - 1 Hit Kill
Grav Gun - 1 Hit Kill
Overwatch Rifle - Kills in a few seconds.
S.L.A.M. - 1 Hit Kill
That is the only problem with Death Match.

In a crowded server (more than 6 ppl) you should expect to die fast after spawning. That happens in every game.
But then again, it depends on you, the map you're playing, and who you're playing with.
I used to play lots of killboxes and it seldomly happened to me. Even tho Killboxes don't offer hiding places, and there's always lots of campers.
If you play servers with too much low grav (anything below 400) that will surelly happen tho.
