SO it looks like cheetahs catch the wildebeest off balance with their forepaws then as it hits the ground they compress the neck with their jaws and tear at the arteries/crush the windpipe. Can anyone give me more info on how they actually kill the animal? Water buffalo is not indigenous to Southern regions of Africa to which the cheetah is indigenous. Respond to this video... Omg people this is not a wildebeest. It is a young water buffalo. A wildebeest have a strip around its neck with a tail take is more of a horse tail. If you look closely, you will see that it doesn't have a strip pattern nor a horse like tail but instead it have a cowish tail.
