Gorgeous car! Best of luck. I am lost as to the 6 dislikes. How can anyone dislike a 308? Why even search for it on Youtube in the first place? Mark one big fat LIKE on this car!!
The last beautiful Ferrari. Oh how I hate modern Ferraris. They are just so tacky, vulgar and gaudy. I ache for the days when Ferraris were rakish and elegant like the 308.
Beautiful car, as a lot of Ferraris are. Those 288 GTO-like lights in the front improve the look of the car, IMO. Nice touch, you usually don't see that on 308's.
i don't know why people put up their videos on YouTube because most of the comments will be from retards who don't have a clue and are Internet expert drivers half the idiots aren't even old enough to drive most people who really know cars wont even bother commenting cause its a waist of time "never argue with stupid people cause they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience"
@irishkerry You make a good point. But if you didn't share the video that means the idiots would finally win, now doesn't it? So....post the videos and ignore the retarded remarks, or disable comments, or start your own video sharing service.
gorgeous m8, the plates look hot on these with silver on black, nice and retro, i did this with my dino 308 too, anyway hope you get a lot of joy from yours, they are magical cars, a childhood dream that was for most of us, thanks for posting.
It was quitting, though. He was running some gas through it so it would idle (and make it easier to back out I'm guessing, because it's probably a stick).
I do the same thing with my pickup so I don't have to ride the clutch.
Really?? Are you shitting me?? NOTHING can damage the engine when you simply start it up and rev it when it is out of gear. So long as the engine isn't under the stress of moving the car, I.E. stomping it while in gear! God you're a dumbass.
I believe after spending six additional years at Pratt, working on a Mechanical Engineering Master's Degree, I'm damn well sure I know what I am talking about.
@Sarcasticscum you are stupid dude, reving the car while in idle can damage the clutch badly, among other pieces inside the engine, the more you get next to the red line, the more you have the risk of damage in your engine, just for forcing it. It´s desirable while you are on the track, but why doing it on idle, with the car stoped?
How can you damage the clutch, when it is in neutral? Exactly, you can't, because the clutch plate isn't coming in contact with the flywheel, period. Of course you don't rev it up to nearly red-lining a car, I was talking about simply putting the gas pedal like the guy did in this video. Also, do you know how many RPMs a 308 can take before you have to shift? That little 3-litre V-8 can handle up to 7600 RPMs consecutively without failing.
@Sarcasticscum You can damage the clutch plate axis by reving, and the disc springs, among other parts that tend to wear off when used. After sending some fuel to the carbs, it is advisable to let the engine warm up before reving it up. When i had a carburated 911, i used to inject some gasoline into the weber 40 carbs i had manually, just to start it without the need of the accel pedal to send fuel. Spraying oil was advisable aswell.
@x3mlee I agree with Sarcasticscum, Man you don't know what the hell you are talking about lol, You can't damage a clutch while revving it in neutral, as the clutch is not engaged... You're a retard dude
@Sarcasticscum Dude, that "x3mlee" guy is a fucking retard lol, Don't worry about his comments man, pretty sure anyone smart who read them will understand that he is just a spastic
