I couldn't fit the entire comment. I had pacus that grew to 23" on pellet food - yours will do the same only much faster with fish. It's fine to feed them live food, but when they out-grow the aquarium, it's no fun netting fish the size of medium pizzas and the weight cats while they're splashing gallons of water all over the walls and floor. This happened to me and I suppose it's a little funny after the mess is cleaned up! :)

Most of these fish get returned to a pet store when they become too big; and, they're skittish and get damaged faces from darting into the glass and other objects. YES, they can out-grow an aquarium; yes, I know what I'm talking about; and, yes, you need an education in both South American fish and in correctly writing the English language! You're the fool! :D
If piranhas don't eat dead flesh then you have no choose in feeding them something alive. Like in a similar video to watching this I was curious to see the feeding habits of this piranha and wondering if I want one. Do you get pissed off when a young deer is injured and then it is stalked by wolves which tear it to pieces and people are documenting it? Whomever "advised" you that a fish only grows according to the size of the aquarium it's kept in is wrong...That's so far from being the truth it's not funny...If you keep too many Piranha in too small of a tank, you will end up with ONE. 1. they need a larger tank. 2. Pirahna are in the Characin family aka they are large tetras which means they like to school. If you research their natural habitat they are found in large schools. 3. Properly research fish before you purchase them.

I also knew a woman who said she bought a male and female tiger Oscar when they quite small, she then proceeded to feed them meat until they were about the size of volleyball and then because they were a male and a female she was able to sell them back to the fish store where she had bought them.
I have never owned fish like the piranha but I did work at a pet dept in a dept store and we had oscars and cichlids! I thought the oscars were bad until I put a bunch of catfish (bottom-feeders) and some plecostomus figuring they would be safe! WRONG! I came back the next moring to find all of the catfish gone! Only the cichlids and the plecostomus' remained! I learned my lesson the hard way! lol

Actually my brother had 13 of them and they're actually easily frightened. He would stick is whole arm in the tank to fix the plants that would come uprooted. They only attack slow moving to standstill or bleeding stuff.

darker gravel and a dimmer light would benefit your piranhas. they will also out grow that tank in 3 months. i have 9 redbellies in a 150g and they have never been fed goldfish or any other live food. goldfish are one of the worst things you can feed your pet fish.

Whomever "advised" you that a fish only grows according to the size of the aquarium it's kept in is wrong...That's so far from being the truth it's not funny...If you keep too many Piranha in too small of a tank, you will end up with ONE. 1. they need a larger tank. 2. Pirahna are in the Characin family aka they are large tetras which means they like to school. If you research their natural habitat they are found in large schools. 3. Properly research fish before you purchase them.

Oops! I meant to say I put the catfish and plecostomus' in with the cichlids! Sorry, I think faster then I can type. I also knew a woman who said she bought a male and female tiger Oscar when they quite small, she then proceeded to feed them meat until they were about the size of volleyball and then because they were a male and a female she was able to sell them back to the fish store where she had bought them.

I have never owned fish like the piranha but I did work at a pet dept in a dept store and we had oscars and cichlids! I thought the oscars were bad until I put a bunch of catfish (bottom-feeders) and some plecostomus figuring they would be safe! WRONG! I came back the next moring to find all of the catfish gone! Only the cichlids and the plecostomus' remained! I learned my lesson the hard way! lol

Actually my brother had 13 of them and they're actually easily frightened. He would stick is whole arm in the tank to fix the plants that would come uprooted. They only attack slow moving to standstill or bleeding stuff.
