Likely not stream cheat. I had this happen to me and I play terran and I don't stream. I asked the guy how he knew where I was after game and he said that he sends lings to furthest first then his olord has scouted 1 of the other 2 spawn. nobody is usually walled off on that map and he also went roach hydra next. and I was done

You see at higher levels of play, people watch the minimap. and when you watch the minimap you can see overlords pass each other. and neither of psys overlords passed with jumps overlords so that meant there was a higher chance that he wasn't in the top right or bottom left positions. You can see how he positioned his 2nd overlord so that it was over the natural, like his 1st overlord is on the other side of the map.and that was directed at a comment

It was a game of guess, some places may have been more likely where psy was but still its weird that he X scouted. the overlords could have just missed each other in which this game would have been flat out in Psys favor he GUESSED right this time and did lots of damage but you can't just educated guess every time and be right.

I think he was not stream sniping because he would not have attacked with the initial roach force if he were. He would have normally lost all his roaches to the mutas..

@General0Petraeus well there could be a reasonable explanation, his overlord was headed to bottom left and was almost about to reach the expo so send the lings to another base. Roach hydra is common enough to where it doesnt mean much, the spores a little suspicious as they were thrown down like a sec before he saw the mutas but when he attacked he saw a wall of crawlers and a few roaches that could have tipped him off on mutas and confirmed a sec later when the mutas hatched.
@General0Petraeus That doesn't prove anything. It's at most, suspicious but the very mark of a good player is that they use the info they have to make an informed guess as to what path their opponents are going so they're not having to throw a hydra den after they see mutas.
You don't win at this game by being caught with your pants down and having no tech building to counter their build. You predict in advance.
@General0Petraeus Or maybe in Masters and higher, people know the timings for buildings in all the matchups, and thus know when to place down their defenses. Also, he didn't know where Psy was at the start, he scouted the bottom-left with his overlord, and then got lucky and hit him with the lings.
@General0Petraeus The start was a little cheeky, but I think he just got lucky. As for the Hydra Den, I guess he was just going Roach/Hydra, which is a common composition (although not in ZvZ), but the spores weren't put down until he saw the Mutalisks.

@xRawPower btw roach hydra was standard. but nowadays it sucks really really hard. the only way i think roach hydra would be good is if you have 80% roach 20 % vs 100% roach. hydras are really really bad in the current meta game aside for cheap and fast early anti air.
@rickklarenberg it's good for 2 base timing attacks if you have epic mechanics and your opponent doesn't. 2 evenly skilled players would make the roach hydra composition fail.
@General0Petraeus No he wasn't. He threw down a hydraden because he hadn't seen anything coming from PsY in a long time and his roach army was getting quite big. It's in general not too bad to mix in some hydra's for DPS and to be protected from possible muta's at the same time. And he only threw down the spores during his roach attack, when he saw that PsY's ground army was way too small for that time in the game. He knew there was something hidden incoming, not hard to guess it's muta's...
@General0Petraeus well the hydra den is kinda standard but the spores could have either been stream cheating or fear of burrow harass since Psy is actually fairly well known for his roach burrow attacks (can't say timings cause they aren't really timings)
@General0Petraeus lol no psy flew in with his mutas at the front where his units were rallied, obv his hydras were going to be there. After that he flew towards the hatchery where the hydra's just popped so again just in the right spot at the time.
Countering for air when u only have roaches is exactly the same thing i would do so no steam cheating imo

@General0Petraeus he didn't even throw spores down when the spire was building, he threw them down after he saw the mutas. his build was probably roach/hydra and his first overlord sent south didn't see psy's overlord so he assumed he wasn't in bottom left so he made it 50/50 for the 10 pool
Wish you would have done a kill count check on those spines. He ran right into range off all of them, then decided to engage, so they poked away almost the entire time. Would help put into perspective how effective they were.

@General0Petraeus No he wasn't. He threw down a hydraden because he hadn't seen anything coming from PsY in a long time and his roach army was getting quite big. It's in general not too bad to mix in some hydra's for DPS and to be protected from possible muta's at the same time. And he only threw down the spores during his roach attack, when he saw that PsY's ground army was way too small for that time in the game. He knew there was something hidden incoming, not hard to guess it's muta's...

@General0Petraeus well the hydra den is kinda standard but the spores could have either been stream cheating or fear of burrow harass since Psy is actually fairly well known for his roach burrow attacks (can't say timings cause they aren't really timings)

@General0Petraeus lol no psy flew in with his mutas at the front where his units were rallied, obv his hydras were going to be there. After that he flew towards the hatchery where the hydra's just popped so again just in the right spot at the time.
Countering for air when u only have roaches is exactly the same thing i would do so no steam cheating imo

@General0Petraeus he didn't even throw spores down when the spire was building, he threw them down after he saw the mutas. his build was probably roach/hydra and his first overlord sent south didn't see psy's overlord so he assumed he wasn't in bottom left so he made it 50/50 for the 10 pool

Wish you would have done a kill count check on those spines. He ran right into range off all of them, then decided to engage, so they poked away almost the entire time. Would help put into perspective how effective they were.

I think he was streamcheating. First he goes hydras, then at 8:55 he throws down the spores before he sees any mutas, and it's right as he's seeing the spines, so he couldn't be inferring it from that.
