The DDR anthem is incredibly beautiful - both the melody and the lyrics. I truly wish that this song will be revived again one day! The best anthem there ever was.

If the uploader knew the meaning of the lyrics (which were never sung during the DDR era, because they're not about the DDR or ideology), then (s)he would probably have picked another song for his/her political agenda. ;-)

And even if the EU would be a threat to one of these countries, the armed forces, apart from nuklear capacity, of the european countrys are a joke. You are right, the main reason for WW1 were alliances. But also a lack of communication between these alliances and expansionist ambitions of most european countries.

eigtl macht das ganze agr keinen Sinn,

1) weil die EU nichts, aber auch GAR nichts mit dem Kommunismus odern Russland zu tun hat, eher mit dem amerikanischen Imperialismus, und

2) weil die DDR nichts mit Kommunismus oder der EU zu tun hat, das war eine pseudokommunistische Diktatur, die sich völlig von den Idealen Marx' und Engels' entfernt hatte!

@Cossadoreeee lach: was war daran Kommunismus? Kommunismus bezeichnet eine Form des Zusammenlebens, bei dem alles allen gehört. Sprich; Jedes Kloster, jede Familie ist per se kommunistisch aufgebaut... Du solltest Kommunismus nicht mit Ideologien á la Stalinismus etc. verwechseln...
