Hi, U.K. Recycler here. I've done every de-manufacturing job in that video and it's hilarious how crappy your people are at it. I mean there's a person trying to get the back cover off a monitor using a screwdriver/chisel and a hammer going at it from the side, it took her/him ages, sheesh, rookies. On my own I dismantled 60 large/small T.V./Monitors in 2.5 hours, that person maybe 25 in the same time. Poo!
Nice Transformers Trailer on your account Forbidaxe. Last I checked a UK recycling company they had left the screwdriver/chisel and were just using hammers, is this how you managed to recycle so many TV's? I think these people prefer to work a little more professionally. Anyhow, glad to hear you're recycling e-waste in the UK, what's the name of the company you worked for? Do they also have a CRT monitor processor or were you just talking POO?
Wow. Did i just see at 0:08 a Dell Dimension 4200 or 4300 and at 0:09 a Dell Optiplex GX260! i mean i thought those were in their heydays! right? Pentium 4 has only been replaced a couple of years ago!
Hi 727Hushkits, many of our clients are large businesses that tend to put more strain on their computers than home PC users. As a result they often need to recycle computers that have reached the end of their life cycle all be them relatively modern.
Gosh wow i didnt know that. But couldnt they just wipe the hard disks and sell them on in Joblots maybe other companies may want them or could sell them off one by one to home users. Also when they are recycled are the main componants if still working kept? Like the RAM or Motherboard?
