So random. Out of every possible anime to make into a version of Tetris, they went with Card Captor Sakura. Not that that's BAD, just rather random.

Arika, the Japanese game developer behind this game and the Tetris the Grand Master series, has a rather close relationship with CLAMP. They have developed and published a few CLAMP licensed games. Arika's vice president's name, Ichirou Mihara, is used for a character in the CLAMP series Angelic Layer.

So it's not as random as it looks. I'll try to find out why they precisely chose to use Cardcaptor Sakura. I'm very glad they chose to use the very popular Cardcaptor Sakura. ^^
