klx are freaking awesome bikes. My 06 is completely stock and will reach 85 indicated on the speedo, RPM's @ 8,000.

Yours is really loud....do you know of any other good exhaust that are not so noisy?

@kawirider109 - i think at the time i had original 14 T in the front and original 42 T in the back - but i found out the 13T front and 46T back is perfect set-up - whole different bike man and you will close RPMs at about 90mph but it gets few more seconds faster to that speed - oh and you might buy longer o-ring 520 chain for that setup i think mine was 120 links instead 114 or something like that

yea thanks mine is a 2009 model im not gunna fit it im gunna get GT to fit the jet but wer do u fit it on to the 2009 model and ill go for the 250 jet then?

thanks m8 and on jc motors u can get it all and u can get dyno jet muzzy and k&n filter also the jet is a 250s jet or dose the 300 dyno jet fit which one to go for? and wer abouts did u fit ur jet on the bike cus GT motorcycles say that they wouldnt no wer to fit it????? reply thanks

i contacted dynojet last year and they told me that jet kit for klx250s is only for 2009-10 model but these are the same carbs -cvk34 ???- but if your bike is 2006-07 use klx300 jet kit ,just watch the fuel needle - you might polish it little bit because it may get stuck in up position and when you let go on throttle bike will stall - that was happening to my bike - but i jus polished it with fine sand paper and now it is running fine and watch what you are drilling on carb for mixture screw!

how fast dose it go with muzzey exhaust ?? without it dose 70mph????????

i have muzzy exhaust and dynojet jet kit and it will go on a straight road about 85-90 mph without heavy wind (my weight-225 LBS)- i hit a 100mph going downhill , i guess exhaust and jet kit gives you about 5-8 more mph but i wouldnt buy whole exhaust - just a slip-on muzzy muffler - you can find it on ebay for about $100-120 - saves you a lot of money and works almost the same and install a jet kit - you have to buy jet kit for 2006-07 KLX300 - it fits 100%
