the canister was put there in 2004 by ford, pre 2004s do not have it and have plenty of room.

BUT its still possible to run duals with the Evap canister there, you have to have the muffler at the front and just use small pipes at the back and use heat wrap it has been done.

Dang, this is impressive! This sound is awesome. The fact that this is the Vulcan V6 behind the sound is nothing short of astonishing. You'd be hard pressed to find a Duratech (current iteration included) that sounds better.

i just bought a 2002 taurus its a vulcan and i was worried that there would be no way that it would ever sound good with a exhaust system, but Mark's kick ass taurus tells me that there is hope yet, can't wait to put a similar system on my buggy. Thanks again for posting this great clip i just wish that you had a longer clip so i could here more of this G35 sound a like.

I have noticed this with the newer taurus. I drive them every now and then for work, and I always wondered what it would sound like with intake and exhaust. This is very cool! I'd take a black Ford 500 and do this same exhaust on it, it's be a luxury sport sedan for sure.

theres a vid of mark revving this taurus to 6500+ rpms after his installed his AMS chip, it sounds more like a skyline but without the turbo spool. ill try to upload it.

thanks i have a 2000 sable with the dohc duratec engine and really want to put this exhaust on it... any idea on how much was paid for this setup? also you say it has a resonator but on the magnaflow website all i can find are 3 chamber mufflers is that the same thing?

It also has a custom made chip by AMS motor sports which allows the car to rev (stock taurus' limited at 3500rpms) as well as many other things.

mark has long changed this exhaust setup but i still think it is the sexiest of them all.

this is a 2000 FFV Vulcan OHV 3.0 Taurus, this car has exstensive custom work

its mods consist of:

Custom ported composite upper and lower intake manifolds, 60mm duratec throttle body, Morana Racing 1.7 Roller Rockers, Power Distributors Screaming Demon Coilpack, underdrive pulleys,

and for the exhaust, it is a catless 2.5" y pipe (removes 2 precats) to a straight piped 3rd cat (no cats) it uses a 30" 3" magnaflow resonator with 3 inch pipe splitting into a 2" y pipe with straight pipes.
