  • Do they keep the money left over in that sweet sixteen game? no mention of that.

  • If this game show came back, I would WHALE at it.

  • After Time Machine, John Davidson Hosted The New Hollywood Squares in 1986, and The $100,000 Pyramid in 1991.

  • I love this show..but can see why it flopped..too slow...and not many care about the past.

  • I can still remember KYW in Philadelphia preempting Time Machine, so WTAF picked it up. IIRC, WTAF continued to air the reruns until September 1985 while the show was gone from WNBC in New York

  • @johnissoevil in the other video from premiere part 2, I saw a promo from KYW in that video with people are talking.

  • Not a bad show.

  • I vaguely remember this. Sale of the Century was the NBC show I watched before Scrabble but I recall this show was good.

  • The table tennis set was furnished by Abercrombie and Fitch interestingly.

  • I did a double-take when the announcer said this.

  • I find it quite ironic that Time Machine premiered the same year Back to the Future came out

  • does anyone notice how the show theme sounds a whole heck of a lot like the that`s incredible theme on speed

  • does anyone have the clean drumrool like the one heard in the opening

  • WSAZ in Huntington/Charleston, WV also aired Time Machine at 10am (Eastern).

  • So did WTHR in Indianapolis also aired Time Machine at either 10 am or 9 am?

  • So did Cleveland's WKYC aired Time Machine at 10AM ET too.

  • Look at the DISHWASHER she's using? Who washes clothes in a dishwasher?

What a cheesebrain John Davidson was.

  • he also posed nekkid in Cosmo, after Burt Reynolds did it.

  • John Davidson is probably best known for ``Hollywood Squares'' from 1986-1989.

  • He also best known for "The Girl With Something Extra, co-starred opposite future two-time Oscar Winner, Sally Field. Also for "That's Incredible!" and the "$100,000 Pyramid" as well.

  • It's the same John Davidson, who co-starred with Lesley Ann Warren in two Walt Disney films, "The Happiest Millionaire" (1967) and "The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band" (1968).

  • Wow, I really liked getting the ad and having to figure out the year.

  • In Sweet Sixteen. When the player gets a year right on the nose, The players is safe.

  • This is a very interesting show. It seems like The PRice is Right is meeting history IQ; your historical intuition is needed but still no need to be so serious. Ron was someone John found interesting through accent; I don't think John is a boater sadly. Before or After is basic and straightforward; okay for a game and Ron may have just had a bad day there. Sweet Sixteen may a Lucky 7 ripoff but it works for a show like this. Some things are interesting and some are not.

  • Reg Grundy was probably impressed by Ron because he talks just like Reg.

  • I mean FremantleMedia, which owns Time Machine, Sale of the Century, Scrabble and other Reg Grundy Game Shows.

  • Sweet Sixteen Segment= TPIR's Lucky Seven Rip-Off

  • It's The Time is Right!

  • We would like to ask Game Show Network (GSN) to air that classic game show from 1985 and hoping FrantleMedia along with GSN for an updated version? We haven't seen that show for over 20 years. John Davidson did a wonderful job as the host.

  • How did that video player changeed?

  • This show did have potential. Sad that it was never realized.

  • The drumroll used in the intro of this show came from two other fellow NBC RG shows in Sale of the Century and Scrabble.

  • Marc Summers was on this show?

  • WHOA! I have never seen this Reg Grundy game show before! Very Awesome find, my friend!!!

  • The set is one hundred types of badass!

  • havent seen this in over 20 years but knew it existed.

  • NOT A BAD show

  • This looks fantastic.

Was Shirley a champion on Press Your Luck?

  • Oh my goodness, Suzanna Willams on TM just a year before CS '86!

  • Another underrated show. Thanks for uploading this.

  • ABOCROMBIE & FITCH???? IN THE 80s??????

  • Sweet sixteen!

  • Thanks for uploading; this was quite an underrated show!

  • Man, this was a cool show!

  • I have been wanting to see this on here! Thank you!
