This creeped me out.. felt like I was being entranced, and then I half expected a sabotage with some gory picture and screaming lol. Very chill though :)
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
I listen to this on repeat when I go to sleep sometimes..very calming. I get the picture of a satellite/space probe drifting along in deep space, all alone..or standing on the surface of some desolate moon-like environment alone, looking into space.
I listen to this on repeat when I go to sleep sometimes..very calming. I get the picture of a satellite/space probe drifting along in deep space, all alone..or standing on the surface of some desolate moon-like environment alone, looking into space.
There is a lightning storm outside my window.. funny thing is.. there is no rain.. the wind is warm and I am smoking a joint.. this song fits perfect..
such a mystical tune, its got so much to tell. calming, relaxing, stillness like time has slowed down. Slowly watching the sun go over the hills in the distant, day dreaming like there's no end to that sunset. this is quite a song!
@xJasonsDaMan2 The Jonas Brothers are materialistic garbage manufacutred to keep the people of the world deluded under the American Dream. Their songs betray what is true and real in this world like love and focuses on bullshit commercial success. They are yet another example of how yet another art form has been turned into a business. It's disgusting!
Not keen on video but music is awesome. It always reminded me of some kind of lullaby music, being tucked up in a sleeping bag watching the northern lights and the twinkling stars or something.
It is. It's the song/tune I've always wanted to write. No bull, but I had a similar tune whizzing around my head around 18 months before BOC released OTHR. When I heard it I was spooked - spooked big time! Great minds think alike, as they say.
amazing... the music and video meld into a journey into the psyche and shows the mind's view of distant, nostalgic memories. That's my interpretation, at least.
That reminds me that day when I was younger.. I was 7 years old and that night in my bed I was dreaming about eating cereals. Needless to say I couldn't wait the next morning to eat cereals. When I woke up I ran to the kitchen, took the cereals box, filed a big bowl then went to the fridge. But I couldn't find any milk, in fact we were out of milk. That morning, I couldn't eat my cereals. Snif.
@yazman1 its BOC's thing, they make you a different person depending on what song your listening to at the moment, like this one makes you wanna sit in grassy field with your back agenst a large rock, watching a sunset, whereas a song like olson makes you just wanna play that song with the bass as high as it can go on some huge speakers so the whole worls can hear it.
Wow, my friend showed me this video and it ironically had one of the best fanmade BoC videos I've ever seen. I've got like 50 videos about Boards of Canada in some way but good Jesus, none of them parallel this one. :( Good work.
I was recently jolted out of an infatuation by the girl I endeared. This song perfectly describes my resulting emotions. I find it odd that I can find comfort in thinking knowing that a minute of sound understands how I'm feeling.
This song is like... that almost depressed, but comfortably depressed feeling you get when you're in the middle of something bad that you know will get better, but will take time to get better. That strange, numb feeling. Anyone hear me?
One of my fondest memories was walking back from school at 4:00 pm when the sun was quite low in the sky. To get home I had to walk across a trail in the middle of a field surrounded by snow that reflected the light from the sky on a clear day, listening to over the horizon radar. It was otherworldly. BoC is amazing because it's like your personal soundtrack, without words so you can give it your own meaning.
This song has such a profound effect on me, every time I hear it I remember so much
I fell in love with this tune pre-Geogaddi, it was looping on the music70 site for months. They used to put up little short tracks on it (some were like sketches) and not all of them made it onto albums, but I'm glad this one did.
To me the tones are really tranquil, warm, reflective, and consoling all at the same time--which is really sort of what I was trying to capture--a perfect moment where you feel like everything is going to be alright.
yeah buddy i well toatly understand what kind of auroa you was trying to catpure here in this video, did you wish this song was longer tho? like about 2 half mins or somthing, i woulda love that, this song represents all the warmth and beauty of our planet, Earth.
