how did the sound of the drum and response of the pedal differ after you made the hole compared to before you made it? :)

feel of the pedal isnt noticeably different but you can mic the drum easier and you get a little more sound volume from it.

I used a can and it came out great! Mine burned off in seconds cuz it was so hot!

yah but use a coffee container or a soup can, not a pot! The hole doesn't have to be so big.

my friend made a massive one out of some big pan and he said its cause he couldnt be bother taking off the head everytime he muffled the bass XD

Depends if you want melted plastic on your drum shell and a wonky shaped hole or not.

take it off man. its about a million times easier with it off.

If you take the skin off the bass apparantly it damages the ring or something.

TAKE IT OFF! you wont like it if you make the hole larger than about 5.5" .

hole abou 4-5" works out good
