I do not think a game like this works on a handheld... well of course it works in the literal sense before someone corrects me there as this is the internet, what I mean is the screen is too small to adequately see what is going on, scrolling seems clunky too, theme park had similar problems, if you want a good simcity experience play 3000 unlimited on PC, it's cheap and works on win7 on 16bit res so you should have no problems running the game

Probably don't have any electricity or water. If you go to the "build" screen, you should be able to choose the question mark and click on an empty industrial square, which will pop up a graphic that will show a water drop and lighting bolt (water and electricity). If either one is blinking, you will need to run an electrical wire to a road that is touching your industrial or commercial area...

If you like Sim City, I would give it a go. I actually have Sim City Creator, which is more fun to me because you can choose between various periods of time. Though it doesn't really get fun to me until current time, because all times before that, it seems like you never run out of money.

But in Simcity 4. They fix that. You can zone on bumpy land and on hill-sides. (Unlike in Simcity 2,000 and 3,000 where you can't zone on bumpy land/hill-sides. D=) But It still isn't good if you're the kind of person that likes huge industrial installations in the city. (Because zoning industry on land that's NOT flat DOESN't help raise deseribility for indutry. =() But in Simcity 4: You can freely zone any other zone on bumpy land/hill-sides without the deseribility going down.) =D

I have both Simcity DS and Simcity Creator, I think Simcity DS has more depth and options but is slightly more difficult to maintain a city than it is in Creator. Creator is more for scenerio challenges than building an actual city, both has alot of similar features but DS has a bit more mayor management (visits for requests & money bonus rounds).

I end up playing DS more than Creator, but I say get both games.

My city, has been through A lot, the beginning was low on money, and it went well untill 1932, my power plants blew up, and after going through a huge money shortage, I was forced to drop all REV to 1, and all EXP to zero funds, then i made a loan, got everything back, and made more power plants, and, now my city has over 148,590 civilians, and have over 1,000,000 dollars. i can say, my city is history, now im making it into a comic, by drawing it on graph paper xD and using it as the main city.

If you liked it, you should try the original on the SNES (Sim City). You can download a ROM if you're not into buying the classics like I am. It's really awesome compared to 2000, 3000, and 4. And it was 2D, lol.
