I think it was built by a huge ramp the width of one side of the pyramid facing the Nile. As the height of the pyramid increased the width of the ramp would taper accordingly. The pyramid was constructed like a layer-cake with the passages and chambers constructed in situ. The higher the pyramid went the longer the ramp became. And I think the blocks were dragged up this ramp using a mud mixture as a lubricant with water taken from the Nile itself. Just water, sand and lots and lots of manpower.

the most important thing to note is that it is not a tomb. once you factor that in then the assumption of it having been completed in 20 years is unfounded. Now you have ancient people building an incredible structure over a long period of time. And then you have to ask yourself why, it is something that is of great importance beyond our modern comprehension.

The stones at the latter two are so close together that you can't fit a razor blade or piece of paper in-between them and we don't have ANYTHING today that can life those stones. @romanljc There's no way ordinary humans could have finished the Great Pyramid in the timespan it was finished in (20 years). Scholars agree that it was finished in 20 years, but in that length of time, each stone had to be put in place every SIX SECONDS.
And the blocks are too heavy to move even on ramps and they are so close together that you can't slide a razor blade or piece of paper in between.

I mean, we don't need to mold the stones in different place and then move them to their original standing place. In order to finish construction of the pyramid in "22 years", a new stone would have to be cut EVERY 9 SECONDS. Oh BTW if you're so fucking smart why hasn't anyone figured it out? Obviously they moved what could not be moved (solid granite the size of houses). I think it was built by a huge ramp the width of one side of the pyramid facing the Nile. As the height of the pyramid increased the width of the ramp would taper accordingly. The pyramid was constructed like a layer-cake with the passages and chambers constructed in situ. The higher the pyramid went the longer the ramp became. And I think the blocks were dragged up this ramp using a mud mixture as a lubricant with water taken from the Nile itself. Just water, sand and lots and lots of manpower.

I use to think this theory as the principal of a simple track around the perimeter to the top of . But then they would have switched to building the blocks on the spot by simply bringing the material up and make the batch of limestone cement in the mold cast which was reused. The slave drag method is possible but they wanted it done faster so they slaved it the other way.

This theory is possible, though lifting the heavy blocks to the upper levels must have been so exhausting...
However, building the pyramids is not the only question about ancient Egypt that can't be answered, there are many unclear construction mysteries in Egypt like Hatchepsut's obelisks.
Egyptians must have been the leaders of technology in the ancient world, with so many of their accomplishments still being incomprehensible..

A very plausible - and brilliant hypothesis here is the manner in which the leveling was accomplished. But aside from that, I am thinking too many missing details. I think it was a great effort and a good start to build from (no pun intended ;-)

The ancient records are correct and there is no mention of ramps but of wooden machines which when hoisted step walked the four stepped sides of a Pyramid. Neat, logical and simple. Discovered in Australia on 27 August 2006. In 2007 'Raising Stone 1' was published with COMPLETE INFORMATION. Ramps are a modern invention to discredit Egyptian intelligence, however rack and pinion mechanics came out of Egypt nearly 5000 years ago.

I trust the educational findings of scholars more trustworthy than the misinformed blotter from those who commented before me. But that's just me. By the way, when Napoleon and his officials found the pyramids, they concluded that there was enough stone used in their construction to build a wall 1 foot thick and 10 feet high all the way around France. That's a lot of stone!

The "pyramid compound" of Egypt is HUGE! It extends far beyond the 3 with which we're most familiar. An entire funerary complex of mastabas and pyramids for the royal families and nobles were erected. Like I said, the Egyptians were obsessed the the "Ka" and the afterlife. Many of the comments I've read pertaining to this particular video are quite disturbing. No real information or documentation is offered. That brings me to my next comment (I'm on a roll here, so don't let me down).

My accepted hypothesis is that the Pyramids were built before the Egyptians time. The Pharoahs only inherited them and carved their language and religion on their stones.How could a stone-age Man with such weak body and knowledge handle that large chunks of stone with such flawless precision?

I've never heard the water leveling explanation before... that's interesting... everything else defies physics vs time... Whereby time under this model would be insufficent to place 60 and 80 tonne stones up to a zenith in less than 20 years. The stone sides in the video are grossly misrepresented and small.

Claims they built the whole lot of them in a few months. Had all kinds of different technical machinery they brought form their "home."........Yours sounds alot more plausible though.
