@ostacruiser thanks for gettin back to me and what r the widest tire u know of, im thinkin 29.5x12 outlaws all the way around with wheel spacers in the front
@ostacruiser swamplites, gbc spartacus, maxxis mudbug, and maxxis bighorn all have their 27 and 26 x11x14 and 26 and 27x 9x14, but u said their not that great
@AuStInToW That sucks... But what do ya do? Crap happens. Blasters were popular. I'm sure that you can pick up a new injector for cheap. What year is ur Blaster, I can help you look.
@AuStInToW Take it apart. It's only a single cylinder engine, check the gaskets, piston. I can probably find you a guide. What year is it? (This way I you'll know if something is wrong, and can tighten things appropriately)
Single cylinder engines are easy to take apart, it's just remembering how to put them back together again lol.
@ostacruiser You wouldnt happen to know if the dalton kit for the 500 renegade would be enough to turn 28" outlaws eh? If i run outlaws, i wouldnt run them often. just for the weekend runs. other then that, id probably put some 25" terracross tires on the stock rims and call it a day.
@urexisaloser Should turn them, The 28" Outlaws are not the greatest tire. The tire is more of a balloon shape and the ride rough and have smaller lugs, the 10.5" wide ones. The 9.5's are good they have more of a 27" or 29.5" profile, flatter, smoother and better lug depth. It's going to be a challenge to clutch it for Outlaws and 25" TerraCrosses though, the weight and diameter are so far apart that's all. Good luck anyways hopefully you can find a nice sweet spot that will work for both
@ostacruiser Yeah it is a big challenge finding the right setup for the money.
So would 27-9.5 front and 27-12 rear (wish they had 27-10) outlaws be a better tire setup? Like i said, i hope to be able to have benefits with two different tire sizes and only one clutch kit. and atleast with 27's, thats only a two inch difference from stock. so it wouldnt be as drastic as the 28's and a bit less weight too. But have you seen the 27" outlaws at work? are they just as good as their bigger brothers?
@ostacruiser Sounds good, their lighter than Silverbacks to eh? So it shouldnt stress the 500 too much with a clutch. Ever catch any nicely done 500's on any of the runs you go on? Not alot of interesting videos on them i find lol. I havent bothered getting any vids of mine yet, its a bone stock 2010 500. But man, would i love to get mods on mine soon and ride with ya, some of them mud holes you find are intense! and so are the bikes!
@240lcd Running 29.5's with out a clutch kit would be hard on a belt yes. You could just throw in some dalton primary and secondary springs if your looking for a cheap upgrade.
I have a friend I ride with who has the 500 renegade, he put the shop vac hose on his and some duck tape and it was fixed. He said it was no trouble, and he didn't slip the belt anymore after that.
i live in onion lake if you know that is i went to an onion lake quad rally yesterday and i had no lift kit or good mudding tires i still made it through i big swamp i had bear claw tires
hey i have a honda rancher 350 too. whenever i hit any water it turns offf and i cant get it started untill everything dries and when that happens gas always ends up in the air box. any ideas to what it might be?
looks like you ride with alot of people. without favoring one brand, wich do you prefer from experience is better in mud? renegade or sportsman 550/850?
I am just wondering i was looking at the outlaws and for the 29.5" did you have to change anything on the renegade i am just wondering cause it looks like you didnt have too but i could be wrong.
which would u recommend for a mud atv a brute force 750 with 29.5 outlaws or a renegade 800 with 29.5 outlaws. Also for trail riding which would you prefer for an all around atv.
You would have to do a bit of work to the brute to rival the 800R's power. It's all what you want to do, if you just trail ride and don't have to carry much then the Renegade is a sweet machine. If you want to do a bit of work with it or haul some stuff then an Outlander or Brute would be a better choice. They both effectively spin 29.5" outlaws
Yeah, how much did it cost to seal up your belt and re-route the belt exhaust from the left front fender. That's why I didn't buy an overpriced bike that you can only ride. Good luck hauling anything on your shiny plastic.
@sgtmac21b lol its like $90 dollars to snorkel a renegade, 50 if you do it yourself. The brute force is the same cvt shit so what the fuck you talking bout? And the brute 750 can haul 1250lbs, while the "shiny plastic" can haul 1300lbs, sure beats the shit out of your brute for a crossover atv huh? Brute 750cc = 50Hp, Can-am 800cc = 71hp, do the math idiot
@TheDonkerzGJ I'm guessing that is towing capacity, like I said before, good luck hauling something with your shiny plastic. And no, our cvt system is not the same, your intake and exhaust for the housing is routed where it shouldn't be. Don't get so defensive.
@sgtmac21b I'm surprised you didnt answer flaming me. Thanks for the maturity. Yeah I was talking bout the towing capacity. Isnt the air intake and cvt exhaust by the handle bars stock? Correct me if im wrong but its like that on the outlanders. Anyway, a snorkel wouldnt hurt if your gonna go in deep water
I don't know what you mean by the exhaust and intake next to the handle bars, but check this, if you haven't snorkeled your belt intake from the left front finder and have issues when you get into "tire high" water, just take a shop vac hose and extend it up under the front middle plastic, it comes of very easily. I don't know how you and your buddies cut on one another, but where I'm from, it's a given, you have a nice piece. Send me an email and I can describe further.
@sgtmac21b I meant its in the big thing right behind the handle bar. Alright man thanks! The cvt exhaust is always a pain in the ass on these can ams when riding in water but the power is worth it :)
@TheCummins03 honda has just stuck to the fundamentals of a 4x4 atv. they've stuck with the ole "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality. i am a proud honda owner. and my honda is modded and it's pretty bad...but compared to some of the new bikes out there, it's small, slow, and weak. a granny bike. my foreman 500 is pretty nasty with those outlaws, though. it does the job, but currently, i can't justify spending that kind of cheese on a renegade 800. plus another $2k in tires and clutch.
@gayfish68 cuz, comments like that make us honda owners look bad. i've ridden with a dude on a renegade with 29.5 law skinny's on all fours, with about 5 inches of wheel spacing and a 3 tube snorkle set up. he's every bit of 350lbs and can still throw 20 foot rooster tails from a dead stop...IN FOUR WHEEL DRIVE! that machine is incredible. and i don't know of a honda that can do that. my 500 on outlaws is inferior despite my mods. i can't hold a candle to some of these v-twin, irs bikes.
@damnduke not very strong at all mind u i would imgaine if u just ride one on trails or even mild jumps ect nothing will bend ect but like any otther machine if u push it hard enough u will always find the week link and on these bikes its the frame
what a bad ass four wheeler!!! cant wait to get mine. then im going to gorilla axle for 6 inch lift, power commander, 32 inch silver back tires and snorkle!!!!!
@mww88 works good as long as you time and money to maintain it after you spend 6000 on mods then costs to maintain are a bitch. mods like these guzzle gas like a drunk at Oktoberfest. in Ireland
hey man that vid is at emma lake my cabin is right by that trail that trail is like a danm mud run the whole time its nut's that s the elk ridge trail!
With those tires, can you ride them anywhere? Like on long trail rides? Or do they really only hold up well in mud?
Because i do all types of riding, mud trails, dunes, hill climbs, rock climbs...
But when im out riding, and i find mud, i go in it, and id like to have some good mud tires, but i dont mud enough to get them on another set of wheels or anything...
The reason there is heavy breathing is cause the guy filming owns popo 500 and he probably just got stuck in that hole and then filmed the reny walking through it LOL!
ur an idiot if you think that that engine the famed rotax 800 doesnt have low end torque go do some goddam research and then you will know that this quad has more balls than anything else
I wasn't talking about the rotax "Skidooman223", someone suggested using a Suzuki GSXR 1300 in it which is a streetbike engine with no low end torque. I'm sorry you put your foot in your mouth.
Why don't you guys just buy the outlander or the normal gade, I'm starting to wonder if you people ever read the pamphlet it says "sport uitility" instead of putting fagishly big tires and wheels why dont you get bead locks terracrosses and elkas, ride it like its supposed to be ridden, just a thought.Your quad, nice vid btw.
Ummm, since you can't follow directions I will post this reply for the second time....lol
LOL, I just took the wrong line through the hole and had to work my ass off to get through......then quickly grab the camera for the next guy commin' through
well see, if u said that before, that wouldve counted a a descent explanation. but since u didnt, i have every right possibly to question why you were breathing so hard
@p0lska2012 GODDAMN DUDE!!!! READ! he already said he had to work his ass off to get his polaris through this same hole before he filmed the renegade!!!
Lol, he sold his 2009 already? yea, i figured it would still have good power but i suppose its hard to judge when it has so much power that is uneeded at times really, plus does he even get used to his machine when he only owns them that long? Thanks for the response, twas a sweet machine.
He has since sold his Gade, but it still had tonnes of power with the 29.5's You wouldn't buy these tires if you were planning on cruising top speed down a gravel road
LOL, I just took the wrong line through the hole and had to work my ass off to get through......then quickly grab the camera for the next guy commin' through

You normaly want the tires in the back to sink and the fronts to float, or just all of them are heavy, as you get traction that way

I wasn't talking about the rotax "Skidooman223", someone suggested using a Suzuki GSXR 1300 in it which is a streetbike engine with no low end torque. I'm sorry you put your foot in your mouth.

Why don't you guys just buy the outlander or the normal gade, I'm starting to wonder if you people ever read the pamphlet it says "sport uitility" instead of putting fagishly big tires and wheels why dont you get bead locks terracrosses and elkas, ride it like its supposed to be ridden, just a thought.Your quad, nice vid btw.

p0lska2012 2 years ago

Lol, he sold his 2009 already? yea, i figured it would still have good power but i suppose its hard to judge when it has so much power that is uneeded at times really, plus does he even get used to his machine when he only owns them that long? Thanks for the response, twas a sweet machine.

I also would like to know...
knfjdkghjudfhsgkjdhf 2 years ago
He has since sold his Gade, but it still had tonnes of power with the 29.5's You wouldn't buy these tires if you were planning on cruising top speed down a gravel road
ostacruiser 2 years ago
Do you feel like you lost any speed or power with those tires?
