  • WOW!!! What you can find on Youtube these days - in this case, cultural (and personal) history. Took me back 40 years. Ran across Judith Durham of the Seekers - my favorite group of the 1960s! She had one voice in a million - and the group complemented it so well. "Like a ruby surrounded by blue velvet" was the way a friend put it. I learned the guitar part from The Seekers' "Yesterday" off the album "Georgie Girl." Been playing ever since! And tracked down her website. Fabulous.

  • Only 4,300 views for this priceless gem? Silky ensemble and an incredible voice.

    Love it !!

  • This is very smooth and easy, with some soul too. Very good!

  • @FrannieReiner Thanks Fran - we had fun doing it.

  • This is what I love about Youtube, just cruising through some Spectrum gems and then stumble upon this beautiful piece, thank you..

  • This is a lovely performance, Judith sounds and looks amazing for her age.

  • Another classy performance from an absolutely charming lady!...Judith you are amazing! and it's a real treat to hear you sing!

  • This is really good. She is in great form here. Nice combo too. Very nice!!. Any more?

  • Amazing, her voice shows no wear at all! On the contrary, it has become mellower with age. This woman is a walking wonder. Hope to hear your incredible voice for many more years to come, Judith!

  • Slow Jazz is not my favorite. Judith's voice and looks are amazing for her age. In my opinion, her voice is at least the equal of any popular female singer in the 20th century.

  • Judith in her true element, singin' some great Gershwin. what a voice to this day. reminds me so much of her pre-Seekers music. 5* fav. many thanks for posting =)

  • 66 and she's still got it!

I never liked her jazz as much as some of her other things, but this was great.

  • Summertime Wintertime Springtime or Fall a soulful Judith is so truely fabulous to listen to - bring on more recordings please please please

  • When Engelbert Humperdinck said over 40 yrs ago that "this girl (Judith) could sing anything" he was so right, but I had no idea then that his words would prove absolutely true so many years later. She is frankly incomparable.

  • Thanks so much for posting this.Great musicians and Judith, well she is as good as ever.Very pleasant and good for the ear to listen to.

  • Nice one guys! (and gal..)

Judith, you sound as good as you did in the late 60's when I first became a Seekers fan.

Nice to hear something a touch more soulful!

Mike, Bill et al, Nice work!!

Wish I caught the gig at the S.W.C. (Adelaide) a couple of weeks ago. Hope it went well.

  • Wow! Always wanted to hear Judith sing this! Fabulous, Judith, just fabulous!!
