I found her book of several years ago rather disgusting, and it tuned me against her permanently...she was quite quite proud of her 'open marriage'. That is NOT a marriage, in my definition of one.

@LaNellAshleyBarrette You're demented.You may have saw that on a tabloid headline but you never saw that in her book. I've read that book a hundred times and nowhere and I mean nowhere does it say she has an open marriage. Go spread you're negativity elsewhere.

I agree with you I don't know what is up with LaNellAshleyBarrette's comment about Dolly being involved in an open relationship with her husband Carl. I was pissed off too and I defend her soo much too because she is a wonderful person.

My husband and I love this song - it's sort of "our song" as it tells our story. And it doesn't hurt that he adores Dolly and I adore Hal!!! We never get tired of hearing it.

Carl Dean is one good-looking man! He and Dolly make a wonderful couple. Dolly has said that Carl is the one constant in her life. After readingher autobiograpy one gets the impression they will always be together.
