I seen it in my back garden in late May 2009. Less that two weeks later I found out that my girlfriend cheated on me and my uncle died, right before my last AS level exam. And as to be expected I failed that exam. 'Shuck' or 'Pooka' as we call it here in Ireland is very, very real.

i have really seen one of these dogs, i was at a graveyard late at night with two friends, as we were walking around the border of the church i saw two bright red eyes, when i turned to focus in on it a massive dog got up, it was huge with a very strange face, long coat, long tail and very scruffy. it then turned side on took 5 steps and vanished. It was an amazing experience and I was not scared for some reason. i saw it on November 28th 2008 so hopefully ill be ok.

I wanted to tell everyone that in avondale Arizona, i saw a phantom black dog walking along side my apartment in 07. It was very large and muscular. as he approached my house I watched and waited to see him pass directly in front of my door where i was watching it. it never showed up. for 1 minute or so i waited, then I peeked over the balcony fence where he would of been right under my nose, instead i see a tall thin man dressed in a black suit walking the opposite direction, the dog was gone.

Ahhh...I freaking love the original Animal X. I remember being a little kid and watching the premier episode. It scared the crap out of me, but I freaking loved that show.

to 3dbabe, it's possible something attached itself to your bloodline. it may not be dangerous. though some are. some cause chains of bad luck, death...but some just frighten. overall, it might not even be anything to worry about.

Oh and I've always loved all animals this demon only resembles a terrible menacing dog but dogs in general don't scare me it's just the demon I'm afraid of and it happens to look like a dog except once when I young it stood on two legs and looked more like the typical humanoid demon most are familiar with and once my children said something about a mean old man in their room only nights after their sighting of the dog in their room

I was haunted by my own black demon dog as a child and young adult I had several sightings of the thing from some of my first memories I always sensed it was evil and menacing and it terrified me I stopped seeing it around the age of 23yrs old my oldest child was around 5yrs old my middle child 3yrs old they came running from there room screaming about a mean dog in their room it was shortly after I stopped seeing it so it freaks me out that it may be haunting my kids

i live near perth, where an ABC (alien big cat) has been seen before (in britain).

the primary explanation for these large cat/dog things is that they were released from captivity in the 70s when the Dangerous Pet law or something came into order, so you either had to pay a fine to keep big cats or illegaly release them. because of their size and adaptibility, maybe the big cats found other good-looking big cats and made more big cats (or smaller big-cats) which is how we still see them today.

I am not a sceptic. I have had a Black Dog experience. Science cannot explain it. One day I will understand the mechanism that caused it.

I don't beleive in an afterlife ruling out Ghosts in the normal sense. But about planet earth we have much still to understand.

So, was this 'DOG' an imprint somehow left on the physical world,perhaps an emotion or aan experience? I mean think about the bizarrness of quantum physics and anything is possible...Perhaps it was a demon conjured from the mind of a man steeped in local folklore and aware or subconciously aware of Ill health? Who knows? The human brain and the psyche are both deeper than we know. So lets have fun guessing in the interim.

Fairy Folk are mischiefious non-human spirits, but they are not demons or ghosts or poltergeists.

If you cross paths with them, they could either leave you be, play tricks on you, or, like in the case of these Black Dogs, harm you.

Oh, I know the folklore; My local folk tales talk of Brownies... My meaning was on what are the stories and beleifs in faeries based? I used to read a lot of theories on this as a teen. Those theories must be still floating about on the internet. For curiosity I don't feel that My black dog was a threat, so much as a warning.
