@ilovedragons *spoiler* Well, after you've defeated the Maledict, the screen goes white and you hear the voice of Dr. Elizabeth McNeil. Eh, she says something like 'Marine, Welcome home'. And the game ends. So yeah, presumably, all's well that ends well.

@OldSkoolgamerz Good question. I've never attempted it myself, as shooting the Maledict while he's in flight and when he's launching metorites at you with his volcano attack would be a pain in the ass. Only one way to find out I guess.

@Urbanator123 i've done it , actually i forgot the hellstone on my first runthrough and did this boss battle without it . it was insanely difficult , i remember throwing my mouse at one point cause i couldnt dodge the meteors lol.

@ghostrider934 That would be the Hellstone, another artifact like the Soulcube. The Soulcube sealed the hellgate at the end of Doom 3. it'Whether it's been destroyed or not is unknown.
