I hate to sound like an asshole but if more people are well feed and have enough to eat, that not fixing the problem the population will just keep going and going then what? We will have to many people hungry, then probably mass famines bigger than we have experienced. Then our population will hit a peak then decline and keep declining till there's enough food for the population. Most of our food we consume isn't sustainable.

How many people do you know takes Mass Transit? Not many. Why you ask.. It does not take you every where your vehicle could. The waiting is another issue. Everything is about timing. No one likes to wait. You can call it lazy but the matter of fact is the REALTY. Little will change just because the mass transit is in place. Take for example San Jose, CA; San Francisco, CA; Oakland, CA and LA, CA. These are big cities and they all have mass transit...people still drives....

@wlen100 Well, we know combustion engines can run on corn liquor; engines can be modified to run on oils from vats used at restaurants (a major coffee roaster co not far from where I live delivers their coffee beans all over 3 counties on a van that runs on vat oil from restaurants & the oil is given freely b/c otherwise it's waste to them & they don't have to pay to have it hauled off. Other ideas are out there. It's a matter of implementing them. Too few will change their vehicles for it!

Feeding the worlds hungry only furthers the problem. What will solve hunger is birth control. Less people to feed = more food. It's sad to regard overpopulation as a problem of perception. If 1 billion go to bed hungry, then if we were 1 billion less, less of us would be hungry. You can argue all you want and be in denial about the overpopulation problem, problem that we humans have caused and keep causing based upon selfishness, religious beliefs or sheer ignorance. It's simple math, not logistics. Poor communication ways, overproduction in certain areas and so forth have always been a constant.

Food Price is in correlation to oil and gas price. modern farming methods have very bad effects on the environment, and then the extreme weather of climate change. The video is well made and makes some good points, but a lot of the suggestions seem to be counter productive. Also, by "opening the market" does it mean free trade? in which case poor countries end up buying food from richer countries and then there is even more money pumped out from the poor and into the rich. eg the NAFTA and Haiti
