Don't you just love them. I love their sense of humour. " He's older than dirt' LOL. Those two just loved razzing each other didn't they. I bet all of Heaven's in stitches every day with their repartee.
@TheyCallMeSentinus I do. JD has one of the lowest voices on the planet. Normal Basses and Low Baritones speak around C2-E2, however, Sumner spoke around F1-G1.
These 2 could have been actors, if no one knew these guys, they really would have thought they couldn't stand each other. This was great how they did this, they were really good.
"How anybody's able to make a living through that nose is beyond me... but it makes me sick." Haha! I love JD, as a singer and a person! He's influenced me tremendously, and I look forward to shaking his hand in heaven!
people in LA don't joke around like people in the south. i love being from the south not ashamed of it , not reason to be. now you talk about joking, i personally think people from the north joke about southern way too much and most of them don't know two southern people personally.
I've heard a lot of bass singers and I sing bass in a quartet. I can hit those notes singing but I've never heard a speaking voice that low. They make my speakers vibrate! He probably had to go UP an octave to sing bass!
OMG, what a wonderful, WONDERFUL Video..! I laughed so much listening to these great guys dissing each other but knowing it was in jest and kidding. Thank you so much ramey58, Mark, for sharing this with me. And thank you mrblamkin for posting !
LOL!!!! Man! I wouldn't doubt it if those two are still at it up there in Heaven... They never stopped when they were down here. Why should it stop now that they're up there?... LOL.
JD's speaking voice is like one and a half octaves below mine... good grief. I only wish my voice was that awesome. Bass singers like that are hard to come by. Especially these days. I LOVE how these guys are always jesting with each other. Such wonderful brothers in the Lord. Praise God!!
Yes, I second that request, it'll be awesome to hear "The First Day In Heaven" from that particular show, it's awesome to see Goerge & JD having fun whilst giving all us lucky souls the chance to enjoy hearing their amazing voices :)
I'm still laughing at when JD threatened to hit George on stage after that one note he sang was kinda off lol then George grabbed the mic and took over and JD almost went off, that was awesome, great stuff!
funniest moment when George took that mic away to sing the low notes, even though JD's voice was a heck of a lot lower and seeing JD's reaction was so funny!
This is a comedy act between George Younce and JD Sumner. JD was the tall one and he was older then George; But George was the better singer of the two, but they both were really deep bass singers, but my favorite is George Younce.
