@1nav - clarity is usually achieved through the mixing (EQ, Dynamic Processing and Effects etc) but also it helps to have good source sound selection. Auditioning sounds and instinctively leaning towards good combinations is something that comes with plenty of ear training and practice - remember some of us have been doing this for many years. The Cubase course is mainly about composition and production.. it's just the starting point.. I am soon to start developing the follow up though ;)
