What would you call that quality that all Bond theme songs seem to have? Even though the styles change over time, all of them - even going back to the early ones, have this 'haunting epic' quality to them. Long notes with odd keys, a sense of mystery and majesty. Don't know how to describe it but you know it when you hear the 'bond sound'.

Respond to this video... People really are losing the true meaning of "real music" people need to take a long hard look at the 50's 60's and 70's and then tell me that 70% or possibly more of the music produced today is not overproduced, massproduced, mainstream shite where half the artists are talentless fucks who have weaved their way into the music industry (which would usually take good artists years) and ruined it completley. e.g. 'Beiber, rhianna, kesha, akon, black eyed peas..

With more population growth and higher connectivity, everything must be massed produced. It seems like the all the Bond films before this one had failed in the plausibility department. This one for me redeemed the Bond character as believable and exciting to watch because of that. Great writing, acting, music and action. Bond is back.

What would you call that quality that all Bond theme songs seem to have? Even though the styles change over time, all of them - even going back to the early ones, have this 'haunting epic' quality to them. Long notes with odd keys, a sense of mystery and majesty. Don't know how to describe it but you know it when you hear the 'bond sound'.

Big rumours that Adele may be doing the next song - if she does then i might shoot myself, they've had such good artists up to now , most notably Jack White/Alicia Keys, Chris Cornell, Paul McCartney, Shirley Bassey, Sheryl Crow. They would be mad to ruin it with a poor artist like Adele.

@SubsistenceSC Maybe because im not a soul singer - ok ok so she CAN sing but its not a likeable voice, a lot of people me included find it very whiney, irritating and very weak - thing is the only reason why people defend her for being a "good" singer is because she is overweight, so some people will say "who cares if shes overweight she sings well" i personally couldnt give a toss about her weight as she would stil be a poor artist even if she was slim.

Respond to this video... People really are losing the true meaning of "real music" people need to take a long hard look at the 50's 60's and 70's and then tell me that 70% or possibly more of the music produced today is not overproduced, massproduced, mainstream shite where half the artists are talentless fucks who have weaved their way into the music industry (which would usually take good artists years) and ruined it completley. e.g. 'Beiber, rhianna, kesha, akon, black eyed peas..

@ibanezman04 That's what eventually happens with everything. Music becoming mass produced was only a matter of time. With more population growth and higher connectivity, everything must be massed produced. I don't respect any of those artists you mentioned and I doubt they would get into the mainstream in the sixties either. They're too bubblegum. Adele feels to me as if she's an old soul trapped in a young girl's body.

It seems like the all the Bond films before this one had failed in the plausibility department. This one for me redeemed the Bond character as believable and exciting to watch because of that. Great writing, acting, music and action. Bond is back.

Superb Bond film, definitely the best ever made. And the least mysogynistic. And the least reliant on CGI and gadgets for many years. Just a stunningly good story converted into an even better screenplay. Top notch.
