Well for one it gives the younger audiences a chance to see em, plus it gives the band loads and loadsa cash.

@Rankmoistmeat This band can still capture their live essence. Seeing a band like Talking Heads reform to tour wouldn't be the same that is for sure, but it would be nice to hear new music created by those musicians as a band.

Pixies should continue to create new music. I think for the fans of old, it would be nice to hear new material at this stage of their career. I've seen them live five times now and I wouldn't mind hearing old tunes mixed in with the new stuff off an album I just bought.

Apparently, Frank and Joey had this written at university and it was probably played on the road a fair bit before release date. At the end of the day, Kurt did say he was just trying to write a Pixies style song, so it doesn't matter if it uses the same chords.

Its not actually this song that inspired Kurt's SLTS since UMass and SLTS were written and released at about the same time. Kurt loved the Pixies and admitted rippin them off but SLTS cant be a UMass rip off, it has to be some other song.
