I'm a huge Petrucci fan, but I disagree with those comments who celebrate him in this video. His final solo is a meaningless flow of notes... He doesnt need to proove he's a guitar master... why does he play like that instead that how he COULD play but doesnt???

@alushearo Honestly it's a "meaningless flow" for me, maybe for him it is the best thing he ever played. But I do think a guitar solo should "touch you", giving you emotion. And these super shred parts are far from my concept of a good solo. I dont think DT became a great band for their tecnique, but for the way they put it at service of good music.
