This is the best American craft brewery. Mirror Pond Pale and Black Butte Porter are, to me, the quintessential American beers, light and dark. Long live Deschutes!
I love me some Deschutes. Between Mirror Pond, Black Butte, Obsidian, Buzzsaw Brown, Inversion, Mirror Mirror, and my personal favorite, Abyss, they are consistent in quality and deliciousness. Makes me wanna chill in Bend, Oregon.
I have had the Black Butte XXI on tap at the Daily Pint in Santa Monica. It's good, but it's so rich I could only indulge one glass. It needs some time to settle down and refine. However, for its strength there was virtually no alcohol heat. And the best part was the taste of bitter espresso beans on the finish. Deschutes is the Russian River of Oregon: they do no wrong when it comes to beer.
I have to agree, Deschutes has not put out a beer that I didn't like. I would love to see a Russian River and Deschutes collaboration beer. Now that would be EPIC!
They really do some of the best India Pale Ale I've tasted. I really want to fly back to Bend and drink some more, and drag some back here to the UK. Kudos to you, Deschutes!
Deschutes might be good, but I walked in looking to sit at a bar like atmosphere and it felt NOTHING like how a bar should. Almost like what the hipsters would go to and not all its cracked up to be.

This is a very well balanced Pale Ale, probably my next favorite next to Dales Pale Ale.

One of our favorite breweries by far! Can't wait to sip a Red Chair on the Red Chair!

I like to get drunk on tap beer and then unload a huge, hot, loose, stool in my pants.

Deschutes is my favorite brewery. They're very underappreciated. Their Jubelale is the best winter warmer I've ever drank.

It would indeed. My newest and favorite beer is, hands down, Consecration by Russian River. Fantastic sour. Just fantastic.

Great video. The Obsidian Stout, Mirror Pond Pale Ale, and Black Butte Porter are simply the best micro brews I have ever had. Keep'em comin.

NICELY DONE! In particular, I like the "cycle of life" part about the spent grain-to-cow-to hamburger part. God has a plan for every thing, it seems!
