  • Yes, this is so typical for RLS. - He suffers painful spastics. He is missing real sleep. He will miss so many hours of sleep every day. It only seems as if he is sleeping. Calculate this: How many thousands of Hours of sleep will this child not have had, when it is ten years old ? - And when twenty. - Serious Problems with his memory. Not really able to work at that time he must work. If at school, at university or in the so named "real life" - God bless him. Perhaps he will find good therapy!

  • I'd like to get in touch with you privately either by phone or email, if possible!? I have a 4 year old who was diagnosed with RLS at the young age of 2 1/2 (just like your son!) - we share exactly the same story! The doctors are all stumped and none of the medications are working. We are planning to take our daughter to Mayo Clinic if her condition doesn't improve- but it seems to be getting worse every day, not better :( It's so sad. And exhausting!!! Could you please email me or share your e

  • sometimes i give him a slight pat and he feels iam beating him so he cries and i let him cry for few secs and then he automatically wants to sleep. i noe this is hard but i too suffer from the same thing and i noe how it feels. sometimes i wana bang my feet against the floor or cut them off but i can take it i dont want my son to suffer the same. but i have tried several times and this has somehow worked. i make him cry someway and then he sleeps.i dont see any other way if u have one plss share

  • my son goes through the same problem and just doesnt want to sleep. he wants to be on my shoulder but then he keeps on fighting with his legs by jumping on me. he is so very restless every night. i know this may sound a bit rude but it surely works. i somehow make him cry.... yes i noe this may sound rude or weird and i too dont want to do something like it surely hurts me to do so but either i shout at him in a way that he gets scared and starts crying which then makes him sleep.

  • Look up side effects of vaccines. Research for your answer.

  • This may sound odd I have rls which is so irritating and painful when full blown worst case can affect my arms as well. Ihve had bouts where its gone nonstop 24 hrs for over 2 weeks with no relief. I have my children lay either their heads or legs across my legs usually lower thigh or knee area it helps relieve the pain and let's me sleep most the time, sadly I move them in their sleep to my legs as well. As for the arms nothing relieves it. If it is rls this may help if not maybe it still

  • Hi there my son is a year old he does excally what yours did but crys so bad like he is in so much pain I also have to crub the cramps from his feet it only happens in the night do u have any suggestions im a single mom with three kids he is my baby please try and help me if u will thank u soooo much

  • I know this was has been a while, but had to post, he acts exactly how my son does. The Dr. has been so hesitant to try anything and finally put him on 1mg of Melatonin. That made his condition SO much worse. He has been like this since I'd say a few weeks old. He'll open his eyes, yet still be asleep. He'll sit up and move constantly and cry out with his eyes closed. I was just seeing if you ever found anything else out. He's 9 months old and it's just me, so this has been so hard...

  • @alandry65 Hi my son is now 3- and pretty much identical to how he was, with the exception of incredible strength added to his thrashing around. He is now on a muscle relaxer(baclofen) and he can sleep! not great but huge!. The doctors finally all agree something is going on and he is clearly in pain. No one has any ideas. All his blood work is normal, MRI was normal. He was recently diagnosed as Autistic, several of our doctors believe it is a result of the lack of sleep he sleeps 6 hrs max

  • You should check out different baby videos where babies have hard time sleeping and spazems, or moves around alot! they have alot of them with doctors talking about the various symtoms it could be =)

I hope its nothing to bad, God bless him!

  • @UtubeDuDeDuh I is bad. RLS is allways bad ! Thanks God today we have little more Knowledge. - This Video must be shown on TV during best broadcast - Time every day - as long, until everybody knows how RLS looks. Andwhatitmeans: no Restful sleep possible. It`s the only way: Post more Vidios like this . - No wonder, when nothing is done, he will have a very hard life. he will try out everything to get his Pain away. - Yes, this little Baby suffers harmful Pain.

  • @UtubeDuDeDuh This kind of Pain is so harmful, there does not exists any more harmful Pain in this World. If nothing is done, it will Drink. It will take also illegal drugs. Thepain is too strong forjust let lefe run as most people can do. - And it will be very very overtired. Years, other years, decades, many decades, if nothing is done, if not the right kindof therapy`s are done, this Child will go under. We need more acceptance in society. God bless Disabled People, we have rights !!

  • omg i love watching babies sleep, they are so cute.

  • My son was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea which has improved since his tonsil were removed this summer. Now he is waking with extreme leg pain. We have tried warm baths before bed, leg massages, tylenol or advil...without any resolve. Wes also draws his legs during his sleep and very restless during the night. All we have heard thus far is growing pains, but it is getting worse and more concerning.

  • mabe he's just a light sleeper :)

    n easlie woken

or has a sleeping disorder like me

odd things happen,,that u can't really exspalin or mabe he's having nightmares along with it

about wat he might happen to see or hear in his wake :)

  • oh poor baby

  • I get cramps like the ones here...I have been diagnosed with a disorder called Charcot Marie Tooth disease. It is a motor and sensory neuropathy, which affects people differently, it is usually hereditary but not always and can affect different members of the same family very differently too.

  • His movements seem to suggest that he's really tense. Maybe you should try giving him a full body massage BEFORE he goes to sleep. That might help reduce his movements during sleep. If you're really worried, I would also suggest having a neurologist take a look; in people, if a person has hyper reflexes, there's a motor problem.

  • you also need to have a lactic acid level checked on him, this might be what is causing the stiffness in his muscles. next time he is doing this clap you hands infront of his face loudly to see if he even notices.

  • I would be interested to see what this movement looks like sitting up and in better light. there are infantile spasm videos on youtube, so search and see if the movements look similar. I do believe your son's movements are "involuntary" which is why I think this may be neurological. Like a said, a neurologist is not a pediatric neurologist and don't let any doctor tell you different.

  • I am not a doctor, I have a son with a condition called infantile spasms. I don't see that behavior in your son. Infantile spasms is a very rare form of seizure disorder that has a specific movement pattern.

  • I don't if this is a seizure disorder. But I am concerned that he seems to be asleep and having these movements. I think that he should have a sleep deprived EEG, and a 24 hour eeg, plus and mri of the head. All other tests sound like they have been negative. There are spastic types of neurological problems and I would not wait to get him in with a PEDIATRIC NEUROLOGIST. Do not have him see a regular neurologist, traveling to a major city and major children's hospital if you have to
