Nigeria must be divided into five regions. The North (all Hausas), The South East (Bendel/Rivers & Cross River states). The East (all the Ibos together), the South (all Yorubas together), and finally the Middle-belt Region (the can join the Northernans or be independent). This will creat a peaceful region & allows every to thrive & compete for the first world. This is my dream & it must happen one day because we have no choice. This marriage that was put together by the British is now TRULY OVER
@Buzzmasterflash Thank you so much my dear brother for your wonderful idea.Once that country still remain as one ,there will always be problems.Especially the Hausas going after the igbo, burning churches.May God help us.
Thanks for the comment uncleary. Nigeria aviation industry used to be one of the best managed enterprise in the 1980's and before. Highly skilled pilots, impressive fleet, awesome routes and top safety records. However in the 90's, military intervention and mismanagement rendered the industry impotent. Nevertheless, the wind of change is slowly blowing. VirginNigeria is helping us rebuild and we will bounce back and reclaim our rightfull place in the annal of civil aviation.
I will prefer Nigerian airways or a 100% Nigerian owned and serviced airline. I get a red mist anytime i see so many other airline at MMA and no National flag career. VirginNgeria just does not sound or feel right. Out of curiosity what airport was this.
I agree with you 100%. I use to work for Nigerian Airways and that were the good old days. VirginNigeria was suppose to operate for a while and transition to a fully owned Nigerian airline, but who knows when. Just like you, I will love to see a Nigerian National carrier again!. I'm not sure which airport it is.
That's true. But please don't despair. Arik Air and Virgin Nigeria are actually doing us proud. We still have a long way to go, but we will definitely get there.
Thanks my brother. Infact I plan to travel in thenext 6 weeks so I am contemplating Arik or Bellview. I like to support my own. At worst Virgin as I hear Virgin Nigeria is now only domestic and regional.
I share your optimicism. Hope is the only thing that keeps my love for Nigeria and Nigerians!!!
Please, fly with Arik air from Heathrow to Lagos or PH. They're using a brand new Airbus A340 (tire rubber:)).Also, there are also other airlines back home like Virgin, Arik, Bellview, and Aero-contractors, and they've stepped up their game with the introduction of new generation aircrafts. Nigeria's definitely on the right step.
The aircraft is part of the non-combat Nigerian airforce fleet and flown by military personnel. It is one of the official transport of the Nigerian civil government. AirforceOne to be precise.
