When I first used the L'oreal HIP pigments.. I noticed they were definitely chunky..I ended up having alot of fall out and the pigment got in my eye because it was so chunky..made my eye burn like crazy! I haven't used it ever since..I'd love to used them though :(

does anyone know of a way that I can make it less chunky?

would you say Exicting is similar to MAC:Pink Opal? or any NYX pigments that are similar to pink opal...I can't really afford MAC...So If you find a dupe for pink opal please let me know =D Thank-You!

i think its dumb to buy a hip pigment for 10 bucks when its half the size of mac. i would rather buy a mac and get doble the size for 20 bucks thats like getting 2 hip pigments for 10 each. u might as well get mac that has about the same amount that 2 hips would have and its way better quality. yes i own alot of mac pigments and decided to try out the hip pigment and it wasnt the same quality. thats just my opinion.

I LOVE these pigments. People always say that they're crap compared to MAC, and they're definitely different in size and consistency, but the colors are beautiful, they do blend easily and the size is perfect for personal use-if you're a MUA the MAC is probably a more economical size. L'oreal HIP products are amazing-I have all of their products and I haven't been disappointed yet. Great products, great price

Yes i agree!! i have only two since like last year and they still look full!!! the pink one is bright and so colorful!!! i also have the gold one. i highly recomend it. specially the price is cheaper than mac, even though i do love mac products!! very soft product. last a long time, cute brush it comes with. and I live in Cali. I bough it in CVS or right it ive seen it.

Nice colors. How would you compare this make up compared to Mac besides the prices being lower. Is the texture the same etc ?

I'm in so calif and alot of the products you have we don't have out here, like the NYX, can't find it anywhere here and I've never seen the HIP make up here either, go figure :(

well HiP texture is much more chunky while macs is smooth but once you apply it to the eye its fine

Hey girl! Wow you cut your hair. It's cute so! I feel you i have always been in love with the HIP brand & I'm a Mac baby to my heart but I don't do Mac piggies unless they're samps. Like you said all that product is a waste. I purchased 4 this wknd @ walgreens they had a bogo this wk and I only paid 10.00 for all 4. Because I used 7 of my 2.00 HIP coupons frm ebay and I don't know how the grl rang them up but my total came to 8.98 after the coupons and 10.00 with the tax and I luv um all!

I hear ya on the pigments. Have you tried the Leishi pigments that are on Ebay. I bought 50 pigments and a brush set for $19.99. You should check Ebay out for those pigments they are the bomb!!!

another thing is they always have bogo sales on hip products thts when i racked up on mine. I got them rom ulta, riteaid, and cvs!!! So take advantage of those sales i think ulta's havin a sale rite now on some of their hip products. the blue brwn is the business!!!

The "Exciting" pigment reminded me of Vellum E/S by MAC. You could make a pretty l/g with that pigment.

Rite Aid or CVS usally has a BOGO on HIP products at least once a month....so look for the sale and stock up!

great review! i agree with you, the texture of the hip pigments are chunky. i wore interpid today and it reminds me of glitter, but it was very easy to apply. i used the brush it came with to pack in my crease and then blended out with the white mac blending brush (i can't remember the # right now, sorry). it's a beautiful color, it's a brownish red with green. love it!

I'm so happy you did this review. I wanted MAC's blue/brown pigment but now I can just go get the HIP intrepid color and be happy lol. I know I'm not gonna use it everyday so I really don't need something as big as MAC's.
