im scared. I want to be a film director, i love making stories, but where i live i have very little money and resources to make a movie, on top of that im a crappy student i, rarely get a's on anything other than art, english, and P.E, most of them i mostly get b's and c's, i hear you need to be a staright a or ab student to join a film school

Not true my friend.

Some film schools you only need your high school diploma, if your not good at math or science, doesn't mean you can't make an amazing film. Film making is an art form, you don't hear painters conplaining about math or anything.

when i'm older [i'm 15]

but there are really no ways around here to help further my abilities.

i live in ohio,

so yeah hardly anyone has appretiation for the arts.

once i turn 18 ill find a way to move to new york tho :)

NY industry is just so large...

I'm from new zealand but I know that E4 is running a competition for work experience on the show skins right now. Go to their site (google it) download the clips and edit a video from them. Then you get to hang out with the editors if you win. Go for it!

he seems nice and all ways can work. but 99% fail, thats why his way never works.

ultimately, go to LA with money(home equity, business etc) and you are far ahead of everyone. no study film, u can be bad director and still direct. Roland Emmerich bought godzilla rights( same u would open a subway), hires ILM effects, hires the crew from LA 101 and one producer with a sony deal. look quentin, emmerich, they write, direct, produce all self paid, do not follow others on jobscreate own
