  • Thank you for the upload. Peace

  • Thank you very much for this excellent philosophical interpretation. I am a Zoroastrian from Iran, the land of zartosht, and I am proud of being a Zoroastrian.

Indeed this kind of unique interpretation clearly shows how the instructions of Zoroaster has been taken by Sufists: the search for the absolute truth, avoiding selfishness, and finding the righteousness. The teachings of Zoroaster has spread throughout the world and his words have penetrated almost all religions.

  • The lectures in videos are of our beloved teacher Ashoi ji.

Glad that you liked it. Ushta Te!

  • Very interesting teaching about a very old and too unknown religion/wisdom .

  • The word "Asha" seems to have a similar meaning than the chinese "Dao"or "Tao"=The Way (to conciousness), but there is no Divinity in Tao like in Zoroastrian way (Ahura Mazda).

Very interersting, not only a religion but a wisdom too.

  • So, that is our Persian ancestors looked like before we mix with Arabs, Mongolians. Although he has got Indian accent, but I am sure he comes from a religious background, and his ancestors probably married with Zoroastrians only.

  • It is not hinduism. Zorastrians are Persians, Iranians. At the time of Arab invasion, a group of them moved and resided in current India to avoid being forced to convert to religion to Islam. The rest of Persians either killed or forced to convert to pay less tax and save their wives and children from being slaved.

  • Great and very helpful remarks. It is good to have discussions on the actual meanings of Avesta in addition to just reciting them ...

  • Zoroastrianism is NOT the oldest religion at all. It is simply ONE OF THE FIRST monotheistic religion, as Judaism also existed roughly at the same time. Besides there are no conclusive dates to support these clames. What is certain is that Zoroastrianism is one of the first religion to recognise the religious philosophy of one god.

And it's interesting to note that you chose to focus only on the word 'cult' in my comments I said other significant things in my criticism of religious laws.

  • actually, the first religion to have one god is sanatan dharma (hinduism) the first religion followed by the aryans, then some aryans started following zoroaster, and now those follow islam, but still today most aryans follow sanathan dharma

  • i said "one of the first"

  • Sanatan Dharma(hinduism) wasn't created before Zartushti, hence, Zartushti was the religion followed by the Ariyans for it was an Ariyan religion, which is the oldest religion, then came Hinduism, then Budism, islam, christianity, etc.

  • ?

Yashil, there is nothing wrong with the Zarathustra religion being younger than Hinduism but it is true.

Zoroaster was an Aryan priest of Sanatana Dharma. He had an epiphany telling him that the Devas (hindu god) was wrong and the Asuras (Zoroastrian God) was god. Then the two groups split into Persians and Hindus but still both were Aryans.

  • Yes, this is correct to some extent. The modern day Hindus and Zoroastrians come from a line of people (known as Aryans) who, thousands of years ago, lived as one community in the far Northern regions of the Northern Hemisphere. Zarathushtra realized that many false priests were exploiting poor ignorant people with false concepts of various Devas (multiple gods of various kinds) for their own profits. Many of these false priests claimed that they themselves were human forms of Devas and....

  • ...and people obeyed them (and their Devas) out of fear. Zarathushtra rejected those Devas and was determined to expose the false priests who were instilling fear in people for their own personal material gain and power.

People lived in tribes. They gradually migrated South. Some to South-East to modern day India (where concepts of Devas continued) and some South-West to modern day Persia (where Zarathustra pushed for religious reform - actually starting the first organized religion as such).

  • @urvanem

This is Ashoi more videos please. is Ashoi coming to India?

  • is he looking for a wife???

  • Hello Respected Brother May i know your Good Full name please.I am blessed that i found your site Videos. God Bless You

  • I am afraid Zoroastrians in India have made the religion prescriptive, in fac it's become more like a cult with fascist believes.

Don't let my name fool you it's just an alias.

  • Ramesh, with your perfectly good hindu religion - why would you want to become a Zoroastrian? The only way you can become a parsi is to have parsi blood, in any percentage and get initiated into the religion via a Navjote. They are also converting others from the Persian empire like muslim Iranis, Tajiks and anyone else from Central Asia who feels that they are rightfully "parsi" or Zoroastrian. So tell me, what is so fascist about our religion???

  • Hi, you obviously haven't read the last line in my comments. I said my name is and "ALLIAS" which obviously means this is just a log in name. I also mentioned that I am a Zoroastrian which means I am not Hindu.

It is obvious that everyone is completely missing the point that I was trying to make with my comment. I thinks paris have lost track and religion has become a way of social imposition, where laws have been formulated with no religious background or foundation.

  • I apologize for my assumption then as the comment I was replying to does not state you are also a Zoroastrian!

  • hi, I was curious as to who this is in the video. I am a Zoroastrian, from Mumbai India and find that Zoroastrianism has been devalued by using it for social control. Zoroastrian in India more commonly known as 'Parsees' have conjured up ridiculous laws, which have no religious base. Something that the person in the lecture said caught my attention, that Zoroastrian prayers are 'descriptive' and not 'prescriptive'.

  • His name is Ashoi.

  • I see "ramesh" you are also Zoroastrian! Love the religion and be glad we do not forcefully convert or kill others who do not covert to Zarathustra's religion.

  • I am sorry what kind of an argument is that? I never said I am not appreciative of my religion. I question fascist laws like marriage and non parsies not being allowed in fire temples. I don't want them to change but I question where does it say all these things.

  • Zoroastrian are supposed to be nomadic clans so I wonder how these laws came to existence. And please we don't allow conversions so your argument that we don't force people to convert is completely contradictory. And who is killing who?

  • I was referring to genocide in Iran of those who did not convert to Islam.

  • Of course, I know what you are talking about but this happened roughly 2000 years ago. And this incident is not what I am talking about. I don't know where you stay or where you are from but we obviously have different backgrounds. I simply question social control through religion. I don't critics faith I criticise religion.

how does genocide that happened 2000 years ago answer my questions.

  • I am a parsi from Karachi, and I applaud your fire and conviction with which you fight for answers. Don't ever lose it!

  • I have read a lot of writings by Parsees of India. There is definitely a faction within them who are very xenophobic and don't accept any "outsiders" i.e. no one who was not born from their own group. Nevertheless, that does not reduce the good that is in the actual Gathas. We are still able to learn from them regardless of anyone else approving it.

  • Well said! Hope everyone reads this comment and more importantly understands what is being expressed...only then change will come about positively for the better.
