Before any of you badmouth John Paul,or our company, why don't you do your research as to how much we give back to not just our community, but all over the world?John Paul Mitchell Systems has been around for 30 years. We don't need an infomercial. We are a household name. And every little bit of help is worth it,no matter how tiny you think the contribution is.If every one person did their share, the world would be a better place.Everyone needs haircuts. What does it hurt to at least try this?

This idea is so utterly laughable, it boggles the mind. Do people have any idea of what 250,000 gallons of oil (per day) actually looks like? Meanwhile this clown gets a free infomercial via CNN to promote his business.
Oil drilled anywhere in the world is sold in the open global market.
No oil is marked for the USA.
WE,ALL, MUST LOWER OUR ENERGY CONSUMPTION, until we replace the dirty energy sources for clean renewable sources.
It is hard to change habits, but I did it, I use only, 3 bicycles & one tricycle for transportation. And I own a business. Some people ridicule me, but I know it is better for me and the world.
idea is good but with so much oil in the ocean...that will not be a big help at all. how many balls of hair would you need to get all that oil out? but at least some people are doing something...not like Obamanero and BP. they only talk
Probably most fibers would work for this kind of thing. It has to do with small size and sticking to other things. Probably hemp fibers would do a similar thing and it would be a good deal easier to grown than hair. From a physical chemist's point of view, there might be a thing with holding on to less than decanes, then again oil sticks to anything then sticks to itself. Grow and use hemp. There's a fellow in WI who says he has dry grass or hay that would do a good job.
isn't it funny how they have a hairdresser on their show, but they leave the farmer's intuitive idea out of the lime light? I believe the straw theory came out quite a few days before this came to light. Isn't it funny?
Here is some one who claims that active charcoal works in coagulating the spill

An other friend was suggesting to use a super magnet to magnetize the pipe and fell it up with iron balls and powder.
The super magnet can be powered by nuclear submarine or airplane carrier and it would work.
Fact is that they are steel trying to save the well for BP instead of putting a plug on it and they have being using millions of gallons of oil solvent to (TEMPORARY) hide the spill

malerror 1 year ago 2
@malerror I being telling from the first day to make bails from leafs, straws, pine cones needles and powder wood rapped in net.
This type of bails have being proofing them self to work in preventing the coming of poison algae to the coast
This technique is much cheeper than any other because the raw material is almost all free and available everywhere.
I'm sure that hear works too but where do they think they can find enough hair to suck up the 92 million gallons declared already spilled?
