@PicPantera Actually not, I never played piano, just some chords to help me composing, but not playing at all. But I think tapping is kinda like playing piano sometimes. This way I'm playing is like a piano, but some ways of playing tapping aren't. You can tap the bass just melodically, not two simultaneous voices. There's a lots of "sub-techniques" inside Touchstyle ;-)
I paid, here in Brazil, about U$600. It's not hi-end stuff. Today it's a bit different from this video.. new finishing, new tuning machines, put monorail bridges, etc...
I always liked that song. Im having my 7 string guitar customized to a fretless glass fingerboard and wonder what it would sound like on that! From the ear to the heart, you have a wonderful gift my friend.
WOW! A GLASS fingerboard??? This is new to me :-) I really wonder how it would sound! But the visual must be marvelous! Please, when you get your new custom guitar, make a video and upload here in youtube. I got really curious! :-)
Get each part separately, but when you play them together, try to think as one voice.. one stuff! If you think this piece like a Piano piece, you'll have difficulties.
You'll find out that both parts are quite easy to play separately. But play them together is quite hard! That's why I advice you to think both parts as one only voice ;-)
When you get the trick, you'll play it very easily ;-)
Hi bassmate! Been a loooong time since I browsed Musician War for the last time :-) A couple years ago I think. And about playing "Impressions", yeah, good idea! But I need a new Sony Cybershot to make more videos :-)
Muito bom, cara. Estava ouvindo o original do Vince Guaraldi aqui e resolvi fuçar no youtube pra ver quantos vídeos tinha dessa música. O seu é dos mais bacanas. Tem um de uns caras tocando uma versão bluegrass bem legal também.
This theme is from Charlie Brown's cartoons, do you remember? Then Stu did a arrangement, and this video is myself playing this same theme ;-) So, it's me playing on this video.. not Stu :-P. BTW, Stu is a Great player (with capital "G")
Man, I would really appreciate a C. Stick donation from US bassmates :-D Heheh! It's damn hell expensive here in Brazil, and no luthier here It's know to had built one :-P I only know one person here in Brazil that have one... a bass player from São Paulo called Jorge Pescara. A Stick is on my dreams... if I had one I would quit playing bass guitar :-)
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL EPIC SONG!!! I LOVE CHARLIE BROWN!!!

A bass has four strings, a guitar has six!
SaleGuy 1 year ago
@SaleGuy Well, maybe that's why it's called a Bass Guitar :-)
Nah, joking... in fact I use 2 more strings as a backup, just in case a couple strings break in the middle of a song.
nukebass 1 year ago 7
@nukebass i have been performing for years. never had a bass string break or seen one break.
BassLifeOnChrist 1 year ago
@BassLifeOnChrist In fact, I'm Edward Scissorhands.

@SaleGuy however a six string bass is tuned to BEADGC and a guitar is tuned to EADGBE....
