wow memories thanks for the upload. I was only 12 during this concert. Don't think I appreciated as much as I would've if I've seen it now. Plus we were high in the bleachers =/
Thank you so much for sharing. I was lucky enough to see Michael Jackson on the Bad, Dangerous and History tours. I also had tickets for the first and last This is it shows (of which I chose to keep instead of getting my refund). Seeing this show brings so many happy memories flooding back. He truly was the greatest, must humble artist the world has ever seen. A little of his magic got passed onto all of us that were blessed to see him perform live. R.I.P Mike x
I was supposed 2 go to this...I missed out on a chance in a lifetime. =(( Thanks for sharing this. I pray that he'll be waiting 4 me at Heaven's gate...

wow I was 13 when he came here. My dad works at the Aloha Stadium so he hooked up all my relatives. Too bad I wasn't able to go. Really would've like to say I went to a Michael Jackson concert.
@kink247 Pretty sure it was $60. He could've charged way more even back then but he wanted to make it affordable for everyone in HI, not just the rich.
I am sooooo glad someone was able to get this concert posted!!! Three times I struck out on going to Michael's concerts. I was supposed to go to the Hawaii concert and then my sister got sick and we couldn't travel. Then my college started early and I couldn't go to NY in 2001. I was even going to go to London this summer but could not get a passport early enought to even get in on tickets. Guess it was never ment to be. RIP Michael, I love you most.
I remember this concert as if it were yesterday. Michael was expecting his first child Prince Michael. I also remember thinking, "Well it's about time!" He was the greatest performer and a loving Father. God bless Prince, Paris and Blanket!
Mahalo for posting this! We had a large combined Ohana that went to this show. We had 4 seats in the 3rd row & 4 seats in the 4th row and like 12 more seats a few rows back. Every tailgate before the concert was jamming Michael's songs! Michael was so close that the heat from the rocket ride made us sweat! My sister-in-law Nalani was the girl chosen for "You Are Not Alone" & she couldn't stop crying after the she came from backstage. I still have the program! Me Ke Aloha Pumehana Michael.
Im glad that has been so many positive comments. Your sister- in- law, was blessed for that opportunity to be with the greatest pop star in the world. I hope she has a copy of this concert. Thank you Robert
How lucky was your sister in law. She will have that memory forever. I was at this concert as well not quite as close as you but still wonderful seats. The concert was freaking amazing wasn't it.
Thanks for posting. The BEST concert EVER! I didn't want to leave at the end and sat there wanting more! Took our 6 year old and we had an AWESOME time. Still got the program, poster, t-shirt, VIP Passes and tickets. Loved it so much! I'm so thankful I got to go.
This was by far the best concert I've ever been to. I've been to quite a bit, and this concert made a huge impact. I knew this man was great, but OMG seeing him live was extraordinary. I'm glad I got to see him live. I remember every bit of his concert.
thanks for posting. i wanted to go to this show so bad. it was my 9th birthday. my uncle went so instead i wrote and letter and told my uncle "make sure you give this to MJ, it's very important that he reads it" hahaha
My hubby and I took our daughter to this concert...she was 7 and in love with MJ. We were glad she got to experience MJ till this day she never forgets his impact. In fact I saw her posting on this space.
Thanks so much for putting this up! I so remember his concert. Chicken skin moment! I almost did not go, my husband, sister in law and I slept over at the stadium to get tickets and we did not get any, I think we went later and were lucky to get go to his 2nd show! Magical moment, This brings back memories. He is the best performer! RIP MJ
Ho yah, da VHS days.. Thanks for posting! I'm glad you got to tape it. I got lucky and went to both nites of the concert. I knew after the concert, no artist will ever come close to MJ's standards for a concert: all the special-effects, pyro-technics, fireworks, explosions, added to the dance & singing. I still have all my memoribillia, & i knew someday it will be worth a lot. Well, it's now priceless. Every star now had a role model, & it was MJ. He will be the Greatest Ever Original Perfomer!!
Seems like there are a lot of young kids posting here. Too bad they didn't get to experience when he released Off the Wall, and Thriller. That's when i was a little kid. At this concert i was 25. So MJ had total influence on my years growing up as a kid in Ewa Beach. MJ through his works, will continue to live and have impact even on my own kids.
I want to thank you to all that has commented on my post. Micheal Jackson was such a giving person and the most talented person I have ever seen perform.
