I have just got my new MIA Fender Telecaster Deluxe Ash Body, I have to say it's a gem.... But the strings suck. I was thinking of installing Black-Coded Color String #9! Anyone know if this is a good string to put on a Telecaster? or is Supper Slinkys better?

The Strat is more of a rock n roll or blues sound and the Tele is more twangy and country sounding although the Tele is also often used for blues too. They are both great sounding guitars and I would not get rid of either one of mine, unless I was upgrading to a better model of Strat or Tele.

hey i gotta good question. i am getting a telecaster delux but i mainly am going to use it for distortion. do you think it is going to sound better than my esp ltd? my esp was 450 dollars new... the guitar im getting is 1,000... its going to sound better in metal to rite?
