whenever my mom takes my younger sister and me to the mall to buy new clothes, she wants to go to hot topic. my mom prefers jcpenny because they have better prices than hot topic which is true, even when there are percents off. she whines and wanna tell her stupid teachers. she is a spoiled brat. she just wanna buy those twilight stuff. i like the clothes jcpenny has. she's going to end up spoiling her kids
becky is so like me....want something and really wanted it as a kid, but mom says no...then whines...now i understand that they do have a good reason....but sucks that you have to grow up to get it...
I love the mall, you eat, live, die and learn how to play the organ under one roof. More than 20 years, there used to be organ stores in malls and also used to give free lessons to learn how to play the organ.
well, that's just the whole thing. She's a young teenage girl, her behavior is understandable. Especially in this time - the 80's. People were more divided; rich=good, poor=bad, less awareness on disorders and conditions resulting from advertisements and other media brainwashing techniques, and naturally, compared even to today, less tolerance and the like for anyone who didn't fit a standard, especially regarding dress and money.
@skylur44: Yea, I never know why people say Roseanne is so loud-mouthed and bossy. She lets her kids get away with so much. She's sarcastic sometimes, but that's not the same thing.
That saleswoman was out of line, she kept pushing and pushing. I had this woman at a upscale children's store do the same, my daughter was about 3 and she wanted this bear, but when I looked at the price $50 I said no way and of course my 3 yr old flipped, so the salesworker comes over and says these bears are collectors and a great investment and she hands my daughter one and when I said no thank you my daughter flipped out and we had to leave.
She was really good. Although, the wise cracks she used as a youngster didnt have the wit or humor in the latter end of the series. She was somewhat unlikable.
it's just like a typical teenage girl's behavior - especially in that time, the 80's. Even compared to today, it was a lot different; rich=good, poor=bad, no cells, no net, everyone hung out and the mall and watched tv, less awareness on disorders, conditions, and the like influenced by media brainwashing and such. People put a very big concern on appearance and following certain standards based on dress and money.

That dress really is gorgeous. I can see why she wanted it so bad. However, if I talked like that to my mother I would have been hospitalized.

A lot of people are hating on becky, but they don't seem to realize that I can only think of two teenage girls who don't act like her.

Why does Becky always feel the need to show out on Roseanne? If I was Becky my mom would have beat me with the hanger on that dress!!!

The 1980's seem so quaint now. The actual experience was a little annoying though.... thank goodness for Roseanne!

my mother would have made me work around the house for the dress not just buy it off the bat.
HorrormovieQueen 2 years ago 6
She's always like that. I kind of hate that Becky's character never really grows into an adult. She's still a spoiled brat through the whole series.
