I'll have to strongly disagree with "dcook395" First, The disk Chipper was and still is one of the best style chippers on the market, tried and true it will continue to be a focal point in the industry. Second, a Disk Chipper has it's advantages over a drum, one advantage is the chips pass through the disk and are picked up by high velocity paddles and discharged by a combination of air and sheer force. Lastly, when in large wood I would choose a High HP Disk over a Drum, Inertia works wonders!!
You guys sure have nice equipment! You are true professionals! If my knees, back and shoulders were'nt shot I'd like to come work with you guys!!!!!!!! But 20 years of tree work has taken its toll. Have a nice day.
The chipper is a Model 2012 built by JP Carlton in Spartanburg, SC.
