I spent about $60 for the used equatorial mount & tripod (eBay). The PWM controller board was ordered on-line (pre-assembled & tested) for about $58. The 12V drill was bought used at a yard sale for $30 I think. Maybe another $25 at local hardware store for ring clamps, drive train, screws, wing nuts, bushings, etc. Remaining parts I already had laying around my home.

How much did the overall material cost you? So far your jib seems to be the most stable and most reasonable.

cant beat an old telescope tripod! i use the same type and i love it. real stable too.
